Shocker: LoveLife totally disregarded the amplified sound ordinance. I wish I had gotten a better video (I was focused on counting), but they walked the entire loop with speakers. They stopped directly in front of the clinic driveway.

Am I shocked by this behavior? Absolutely not. This is the same group that bought the property next door, which they use to bypass the public ordinance for amplified sound- they set up amplification aimed at the clinic regularly.

Good morning! It’s week 3 of #40WeeksOfHarassment. I’m in my office, trying to drown out the Christian soft rock blaring outside with Run the Jewels. You know it’s loud when you can still hear it through “Close Your Eyes (And Count to Fuck).”

Now, some #40WeeksOfHarassment history: the handful of times we have had less than 100 protesters on a Saturday during a 40 weeks campaign, it was due to weather. I can go back/check the exact answer later, but the smallest turnout I can remember was approx 55 during a hurricane.
There is an international pandemic right now, and today still isn’t even close to the smallest protester turnout we’ve ever had during #40WeeksOfHarassment.

What they don’t know is that I’ve asked myself these questions everyday, and I find it a hell of a lot more irresponsible to deprive patients of time sensitive, critical healthcare. We chose this work to help patients change their fate- that doesn’t disappear in times of crisis.
I’m not the only clinic suffering the malignant narcissism of these protesters- most clinics are facing the same issues to varying degrees- and even one unnecessary presence is too many in a pandemic.

I have to tell you- it’s really unsettling to see protesters continue to show up as arrests are occurring, while you hear people calling for your own arrest and “penance for your sin” as this is going on.
