Some of the background uncharacterised herbivorous dinosaurs in Dinosaur (2000) are seriously solid as reconstructions. Those ceratopsids are pretty darn close to perfect!
Also, this film is exceptionally pretty to look at in places and does not get the credit it deserves. This might just be my nostalgia talking, but I will die on this hill.
And also, that James Newton Howard score is just sublime.
Dinosaur is also one of the few films I feel made a magenta-heavy colour grade look really pretty and naturalistic. In other films, I find that its use invokes discomfort or artifice, deliberately or otherwise. Who'd have thought that purple-tinted dinosaurs would look so good?
