When you study the patterns, you’ll also find countless verified, Turkish accts following thousands of the same locked accts in a row.

When you study the patterns, you’ll discover global “source” accts, or accts that obtain new followers from the same botnet DAILY. (You’ll also find that some of these accts are political, including fake military accts.)

In other words:

When you study the patterns, you’ll find entire, continuously built fake acct distribution systems, from commercial to political. And you’ll find that it is global.

Additionally, when you consider how EASY it is for companies to sell fake accts & fake acct interaction (& how EASY it must be for them to make the accts), it is logical to infer that it would be just as easy for a nation-state to manipulate the accts.

And these are just a few examples of what you find when you follow the patterns manually.

The fact is that botnets and the broader fake-account distribution system are based on patterns—patterns identifiable to the naked eye (so, are able to be identified by Twitter).

So, when you follow the patterns, and you see Twitter suggesting – or anyone else suggesting – that Twitter is cleaning up its act, you will know that they are either ill-informed or lying.
