when skywalker books, a large bookstore chain, opens a new shop near takodana castle bookshop, rey kanata and ben solo are officially sworn enemies; what they don't know is that they've been corresponding over e-mail without knowing who either of them are.

current owner of takodana castle after her adoptive mother, maz kanata, retired; funny, kind, outgoing, she's an excellent book seller—secretly, she talks through e-mails with a person called kylo ren, whom she doesn't know personally.

𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗼:

he's the successful child of han solo and leia organa; assumed the position of managing director of his mother and uncle's bookstore chain after the latter retired—he e-mails with someone called kira niima in secret, whom he's never met face to face.

𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀:

takodana castle is a small bookshop located in london, formerly owned and founded by maz kanata; skywalker books is a prestigious bookstore chain with over 200+ shops all around the UK, founded by leia organa and luke skywalker.

𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘆'𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀:

finn storm, rey's roommate and best friend; rose tico, who works at takodana alonside rey and finn; kaydel connix, a yoga instructor, who is a childhood friend of them; and zorri bliss, a photographer and rey's friend and neighbor.

𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀:

poe dameron, a flight instructor and ben's best friend; armitage hux, an editor, ben's friend and former colleague; jannah calrissian, a horse rider and ben's cousin; and gwen phasma, a business podcaster and ben's former classmate.

we begin our story in london, september 2019... and with rey telling a little white lie.

someone else was awake at 2 am having controversial takes.

𝟯.

what were ben and rey doing awake at 2 am in the morning? let me introduce you to kira and kylo.

ben gets a new idea and hux is lowkey terrified of poe.

𝟱.

fourteen days away from the grand opening of the new skywalker books bookstore, and they're starting its promotion online.

𝟲.

rey sees skywalker books' post and she has a lot of thoughts about it.

𝟳.

ben talks to his boss: his mother.

𝟴.

that night, ben goes out with his friends as promised and rey decides to do the same with hers, ending up in the same place without them even knowing who they are; so close yet so far.

the next day, once again they're at the same place at the same time.

𝟭𝟬.

after breakfast with zorri, rey checks out her gmail to find a new e-mail from kylo to kira.

𝟭𝟭.

confused after that e-mail, rey turns to rose for some sort of advice.

𝟭𝟮.

final part of rose and rey's conversation, and a cryptic tweet by the former.

𝟭𝟯.

meanwhile, ben talks to his uncle luke about something else entirely.

𝟭𝟰.

rey is unable to keep her word about stopping her e-mails to kylo ren, and he listens to her.

kylo answers to kira's e-mail and rose decodes rey.

𝟭𝟲.

last e-mail of the night, and the next day ben makes the trip kira told him about.

𝟭𝟳.

poe has news for the others.

𝟭𝟴.

finally, the others convince ben to visit his "competition" as a favour to poe.

𝟭𝟵.

kaydel sets up rey with someone else, and she looks like she's *very* excited about it.

𝟮𝟬.

rey be like "i wish i knew how to quit you".

𝟮𝟭.

next day, poe and ben set a date for their little trip to takodana castle.

𝟮𝟮.

that night's e-mails.

𝟮𝟯.

poe invites little people to his and ben's day out.

some updates about the trip to takodana from poe.

after they leave the kids back at snap's house, poe and ben finally start telling their friends about their day.

so there was a conversation between ben and rey, and here's the story.

he is not one to back down.

on the other hand, rey starts thinking about what certain someone has been telling her, so naturally, she talks to her best friend about it.

the next morning, rose and rey are both scared but for different reasons.

on the other side, ben tells poe about his online doings and some truths start to come out.

poe explains the bomb he just dropped on ben.

later, rey's friends make plans.

ben talks to hux.

hux is way too transparent.

hux helps ben to decide what kind of sweet gesture he should have with kira when they finally meet.

hux's not-so-mystery-anymore lady is revealed, and he starts connecting the dots.

hours later, ben is pissed.

ben and rey are not playing around anymore.

hours later, kira tells kylo what she'll bring to the meeting so he can recognize her.

on wednesday, something happens that makes our two protagonists react this way online.

what happened? let's go back to that afternoon, at a supermarket.

the next part, told by ben who was ready to talk after sleeping on it.

rey feels a little bad about how she acted.

kylo gets deep into some talk that we're all sure rey will relate to a lot.

mere hours before the meeting, the takodana team (plus kaydel) reveals to be very busy.

as they prepare to see each other, gingerrose checks on them to see how they're doing.

after ben sees the e-mail kira sent to kylo, he panics and asks hux for help.

kylo answers kira's e-mail.

rey tells rosesome happy and also some sad news.

rose looks for answers.
