The part from the Kumarapalaprabandha that lists the 36 Kshatriya clans (the first such list) & you will notice that this Prabandha written by the court chroniclers of the great emperor Kumarapala of the Chaulukya/Solanki Rajput Dynasty (who are also as usual claimed by Gujjars) https://twitter.com/authormanoshi/status/1230753542580760576
doesn't mention Gujjars as a clan. It does mention Goorjaradharitri (गूर्जरधरित्री), and Goorjaratraikdeshe (गूर्जरत्रैकदेशे) as regional identifiers just like Vadhiyardeshe (वढ़ियारदेशे) is for the Vadhiyar region around Patan in Gujarat and Panchasargrame (पञ्चासरग्रामे) is for
Panchasar, the ancient seat of power in Gujarat.

One must ask what has this subaltern politics done to the truth and the real history where it is conflating two different words like the Gujar (a word for cowherds) with Goorjara (which is a regional word for eastern parts of the
Gujarat state) against all contradicting evidence that if would flash itself more would most likely become inappropriate.

PS :- An interesting term you must have heard called Gujariya/Gujari. It is a Bhakti era word for the fictional romantic setup of Vaishnava Bhajans wherein
Krishna's female cowherd devotees are called with that name.

PS PS: You won't find the conflating of these two words before 1970s (you will rarely find the word Gujar itself in any historical book except for the parts in British surveys and censuses), or outside of regions of
Subaltern Politics like Pakistan where Gujars are only called Gujars & of Gurjara being used for anyone outside of Gujarat.

PS PS PS: There are Gurjara Brahmins, Gurjara Kshatriyas, Gurjara Vaishyas in old scriptures, but not Gurjara cowherds. Clearly it's a regional identifier.
