Yall know how I harp on Bendis but this art guys

2 uses of the word hombre to describe Jonah Hex. Even in the movie Hombre that would be bad dialogue

I love everything by Derington here but his old man Slade is real good

The amount of first names Batman keeps using, rather it be Edward or Ollie is making his dialogue very weird & proper

Hmmm quite the interesting new look for Vandal Savage

The art in this is amazing, no question. Bendis' voice for Batman is quite odd. Hes using him as an almost unable to lie, extremely calm & serene straight man around the usual snarky Bendisspeak characters. Its WEIRD

That being said its not TERRIBLE. It almost feels like this whole comic is a Batman: Brave and the Bold episode

Hal's cowboy outfit is good

If youve read one Bendis comic, youve read them all

So Batman Universe is largely a pretty simple story that largely doesnt make sense or work within any type of continuity but its fine in a almost animated show style plot for anyone to pick up. The art is really whats the draw here. Id love a Treasury Edition with no dialogue
