Notes on balloon rescuing as prospector:
- generally, throw ur magnets as soon as the hunter enters pickup animation, switch your polarity and run behind the nearest obstacle (ideally stunning them right away)
- while hunters are in animation, magnets will not effect you or them

- after initiating attraction, you have about 1 second to run n get behind a tree or smth before y’all smash into each other (i think it’s better to switch polarity sooner than to chance having the hunter move out of range)

- that being said, if the chair is far, and you’re not close enough to do the immediate save, it’s good to know the locations of chairs to intercept them
- usually one magnet isn’t enough to get the survivor to safety, so it’s better to attempt with 2/3 magnets

- following up from that last point, what i usually do is get up in the hunter’s face immediately while they’re stunned and drop a magnet, hoping it lands on the hunter to stun them back into the obstacle (if it lands on survivor b prepared to push them away and eat a hit)

- prospector can also stun from second stories/heights (so if you get a magnet on a hunter while they’re going to basement.... u have to b RIGHT on top of them tho)
- don’t drop magnets too early or else hunter will drop surv, u wanna get em when they’re least expecting it

ALSO IF YOURE A HUNTER AND U SEE A RESCUE PROSPECTOR LURKING AROUND, CHASE EM AND GIVE EM A TAP IF U CAN ITS THE BEST WAY TO GET RID OF THEM i mean as a prospector i’m still gonna try but

ALSO THERE ARE SOME ROUTES THAT HUNTERS /HAVE/ TO TAKE IN ORDER TO GET TO THE CHAIR (ie. thru the doorways/arch on red church, second and third stop stairways on moonlit) USE THESE TO UR ADVANTAGE

this thread is supposed to be 4 balloon rescuing but the last point also relates to kiting, like how rippers have “crutch” locations where after a survivor vaults and he can get a free foggy, prospector has locations where he can get long stuns after the hunter vaults too >:3

u can definitely use this to buy time for ur teammates tho! (eg. Check out second story window on moonlit, throw your magnet where the hunter will land and run behind the railing in the doorway while changing ur polarity for a long stun)
