I’ve followed #MeghanMarkle story 4 about 2 years & read so many column inches, but realised today that I’ve hardly seen any of the video from her detractors.
Mainly cos I don’t watch that type of tv & also cos I don’t want 2 give them clicks, but 2day I fell down a rabbit hole

First clip was a pre-wedding Carole Malone (no snitch tagging!!) who has recently stated there are no parallels btwn Meghan & Diana...loudly proclaiming that there r MAJOR parallels between Meghan & Diana. She also states tht there’s no way Meghan can knw what’s in store for her

Carole was right, the critique came thick and fast. She hugged 2 much & bare legged. She ate avocados, her traditional royal wedding flowers were part of a murder plot, experts predicted she would neglect her husband 4 her son etc...the media called it “constructive criticism”

She went further, describing Diana’s Hollywood glamour and Hollywood circle and said that Meghan was the same and could expect to be hounded in the same way. Boy, was she was right...like the proverbial broken clock

Fast forward to Archie’s birth. The press are furious that the public will get pics, but the media wont be able to monetise the pics, & the issue of money, starts to rear its head. According to the media, the public purse makes the couple, public property. So what’s the solution?

Turns out the press had the solution the whole time. They said if Harry and Meghan don’t want to allow their private life to be monetised, they need to stop taking public money. Eureka!!

Turns out the Loose women agreed. Harry and Meghan becoming financially independent was the solution to all their woes.

Susanna even suggested that if the couple paid back the renovation costs of Frogmore Cottage, the press would be happy to respect their boundaries. That makes perfect sense.

So if you’re Harry & Meghan ur probably thinking “well since our problem is with the média, we shld probably look to the media for a solution, I wonder what other advice they have for us, as we’re clearly unhappy with the current state of affairs”...let’s see

Wow!! They’re clearly on to something here. Could this be the solution to everyone’s problems...

So know we’re in 2020 and the Sussexes have taken all the advice the media so generously offered. They’ve decided to change jobs and stop taking public money and they’re even going to payback the renovation cost of Frogmore cottage. So everybody’s happy now right...

Wrong. The press are furious and they’ve promised vengeance...
The British media are well known 4 taking a position against someone & working 2 undermine their very existence. It’s the reason people rarely cross them...and now they’re REALLY cross

So now as Harry & Meghan embark on a new life, they have a powerful enemy in pursuit.
We can’t say what the media’s end goal is, but we do know that end, can be tragic. I’m hoping that recent events will make us all question the part we play in the game & hopefully ALL do better
