1/ Random Trump thoughts.

Trump supporters I encounter (most don't know my dismal opinion of him) increasingly caveat their support with statements like:

I don't like his tweeting

or

I disapprove of his manner

etc. etc.

...but I like his policies
2/ But it's impossible to support his "policies" in a vacuum. To just get to his "policies" one must ignore his:

-Constant lying
-Bad FP decisions
-Obvious abuses of power
-Incompetence
-Ignorance
-Serious questions about his independence from past entanglements
-Self-dealing
3/ And what about his "policies"? He has been remarkably inconsistent INCLUDING on the wall (remember Mexico was going to pay for it?).

He has in fact, threatened #1A, #2A, #14A, our electoral system, the separation of powers, and virtually all our security institutions.
4/ He has accomplished only TWO things that involved legislation impacting the entire country. A #FakeTaxCut, and a partial repeal of the Affordable Care Act (which he promised to replace but hasn't bothered).

Literally EVERYTHING else he's done has been by executive action.
5/ He has ruined the credibility of his office, the USG, and the United States as a whole. He has taken with him the credibility of those cabinet departments whose principals have bowed to his will.
6/ He has attacked our allies, subordinated our FP to $$ and his narrow political interests, pimped out our military, and threatened to start wars (overtly or by bumbling) then backed down in EVERY instance.

If nothing else, this weakens our ability to deter future conflicts.
7/ He has played fast and loose with classified information mostly out of ignorance or arrogance. Doing such ridiculously damaging things as sharing allied intel with the Russian ambassador and tweeting iPhone pics of spy satellite imagery.
8/ He's given cover to our adversaries:

"Russia are you listening?"
"I don't know why they would [interfere with our election]"
"China should investigate."

He publicly called the USA stupid on his way to meet Putin FFS.
9/ He doesn't prepare. He doesn't listen. He contradicts decades of policy just because he's insecure some presidents before him were responsible for it.

As a result he gets rolled in negotiations (Singapore summit) and laughed at by "peers".
10/10 So if you're coming at me with "I don't like his lack of decorum" please don't waste my time. Just put on your MAGA hat and try to convince yourself against the evidence of your eyes and ears that he's so much smarter than all of us that we just can't see it.
