A day after winning ACC freshman of the week, Pitt's Justin Champagnie has been named the CBS Sports/USBWA national freshman of the week.

He's the first Panthers player to earn that honor since Tray Woodall in 2012.
The first player to earn a national weekly award since Woodall, that is. Tray Woodall was most definitely not a freshman in 2012.
