A leaked script of Denis Villeneuve’s DUNE had been going around lately. @BurnettRM had a chance to read it. He gave his review/impressions on the script on his live stream, but Warner Bros. took it down. Here’s what he have to say about it. (A thread)

- He's thrilled with what he’s read, saying it’s a fantastic adaptation of the source material.
- It's very "adult" and "goes for it".
- The script spends a lot of time with the Lady Jessica and Paul Atreides together.
- Gotten major Godfather vibes from reading it.

- It completely expands all of the characters deep-dive development , and you learn far more about the world building and universe than any previous adaptations.
- It is very intellectual, although there are a lot of action scenes in it.

- It takes a page from THE LORD OF THE RINGS and MAN OF STEEL in its opening prologue.

"All of my hopes in reading this script have been realized...you can't ask for something better."
