You say you are tired of the #ttrpg discourse. I saw lots of white creators say how they don't feel safe simply speaking anymore.

Welcome to my and every other PoC out here daily existance. You got a taste of it for few days. Now try and imagine it everyday.

When I wrote my giant open letter about representation of minorities in #dbd I didn't sleep. I instead sat at my desk mentally preparing for the death threats and abuse for speaking the truth. I pulled my support network close and let them hold me.

It never came apart from a few burner dms. But I realises my profile pic was my most white passing picture in black and white. Many in the thread did not realise I was indeed a black woman from that picture. I laughed bitterly at the realisation.

I still wonder now if that letter would have gone differently had I swapped it out.

I worry about all the abusers you've made safe and how many PoC you've stunned into silence with your "stop the drama! I'm tired!!!" bemoaning. I'm tired. My melanin is tired.

But I have no choice but to keep going. Just to be allowed to exist.
