I’ve only had their Tapas but I’d highly recommend. Aesthetically pleasing and a broad wine selection.
They close the kitchen between 3 and 6 to prepare for dinner.
I find it a bit romantic

La Parada
Waterfall Corner

Overlooking Waterfall Estate with a stunning view. Menu isn’t quite vast. Ideal for lunch dates in beautiful spaces. (1/2)

(2/2) corkage fee=R50

I’d recommend taking your own bottle.

If you’re looking to leave the city for a while but don’t want to go far, this is the perfect place.
A hidden gem in the midst of nature

Chef’s table or nothing. Witness as they prepare and plate your food. A foodie’s dream. With a stunning view of Northcliff at night. The food is out of this world

Another breathtaking hidden gem. Worth the drive. A bit far from joburg.
A romantic restaurant by the Dam(book a boat ride as well) in the midst of trees and nature.

In the heart of Sandton lies a hidden gem. A bit intimate with amazing food, opposite Nelson Mandela square.

Black owned, amazing food and a perfect place to relax with friends.
Aesthetically pleasing with a walk in wine cellar. I’ve never been disappointed by their food

Kream
Mall of Africa/Brooklyn

One of my favorite fine dining restaurant. I always leave there satisfied. Beautiful interior and quite romantic. Doesn’t break the bank but it gives you the impression that it does from far.

Nineteen
Steyn City, Dainfern

Another hidden gem just outside Fourways. Overlooking a golf course and Mr Steyn’s castle in the heart of the Estate. They don’t take walk ins.
I’ve been here twice, the food always meet my expectations – at The Club at Steyn City

Sushi is their specialty.

Doppio Zero
Sandton City

Ideal for lunch dates/meetings or brunch. Portions aren’t quite generous but the interior and views make you forget that.

Sandeck

Would I recommend the food? Not really
The atmosphere? Definitely!
Set on the roof top in the midst of beautiful buildings. A lovely hangout spot – at The San Deck

This is a place just for drinks, I repeat. Just for drinks! – at Flames Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, Johannesburg

Great day time restaurants, turn into “clubs” in the evenings

Big Mouth

Another go to Sushi place. I’d recommend making a reservation especially for dinner, tends to get quite full. Amazing food and great service
