btob’s mbti types (my assessment)

since ive learned A Lot since i wrote this thread the first time, i approach typing from a different theoretical standpoint now. however, my type assessment is still the same for all members, and i kept the main points in, so some of this thread might read familiar

this time, i break down each member’s type in its functional stack, and talk about the two dominant functions as opposed to the four letters. for anyone interested in reading more: https://www.typeinmind.com/type-theory 

that being said, you don’t have to know anything about mbti or cognitive function theory to read this thread, as i tried to write it so that anyone regardless of prior knowledge would be able to follow!!

this isnt an in-depth analysis of the members’ personalities, but simply my personal assessment of their types and a bit of the reasoning behind it. if anyone has any comments or questions after reading feel free to @/dm or message me https://curiouscat.me/9094

eunkwang: enfj (fe-ni)
minhyuk: isfp (fi-se)
changsub: istj (si-te)
hyunsik: infp (fi-ne)
peniel: esfj (fe-si)
ilhoon: intj (ni-te)
sungjae: enfp (ne-fi)

eunkwang: enfj (protagonist, diplomat) charismatic, altruistic and passionate, a natural born leader with a strong sense of responsibility, sensitive to others’ emotions and tends to see other people’s problems as his own.

minhyuk: isfp (adventurer, explorer) passionate, daring, sensitive and artistic, loves pushing boundaries and reinventing himself, but needs time to recharge. is all about living in the moment, and thus can, among other things, be overly competitive.

changsub: istj (logistician, sentinel) calm, rational and practical, a strong sense of duty and a quick-thinker in all types of situations, can be stubborn and resistant to change, and easily comes off as cold and insensitive.

hyunsik: infp (mediator, diplomat) an idealistic, altruistic, soft spoken artist, who projects himself into his work with ease, dedication and passion; can be difficult to get to know and gets lost in his thoughts to the point where he forgets to look after himself.

peniel: esfj (consul, sentinel) social, easy-going and caring, a supportive and loyal friend and a good team player, tends to be reluctant to improvise and can be scared to be different.

ilhoon: intj (architect, analyst) a confident and mysterious personality with a strategic, rational mind and the ability to master any kind of situation; tends to be over-analytical and thus comes across as judgmental and cold.

sungjae: enfp (campaigner, diplomat) charming, outgoing and a free spirit with deep emotions and profound love for the people he is closest to; may tend to overthink and is easily negatively affected by other people's problems.
