Why some carats do not want Weverse

1. What is weverse? Weverse is an app just like Fancafe but it was created by Bighit and it’s said to be an app for ifans.

2. Level up: Fancafe has a level up system that requires fans to do tasks/answer questions to assure that only real fans are able to access FC & interact on the platform w/ their idol. You must reach a certain level in order to access most of FC (posting, commenting, svts posts).

3. This level up system is in place to prevent non-fans, haters, or delusional fans from disrupting SVT&posting/commenting inappropriate things. FC was MADE to be a safe space for the idols&the true fans.
Below are weverse examples. V had to personally scold and warn some of them

Example from Fancafe: the foreign board on Fancafe can be accessed by anyone, no need to level up. And someone posted fanfiction. Imagine weverse.

4. Level up: Weverse has absolutely no level up system. You can join any Weverse in a matter of seconds and post & comment freely. There’s little restrictions. I already saw some posts on WV about SVT.

5. Membership: Yes, weverse has official membership like FC. But why does it matter? How does that stop non-fans & hate? Weverse membership is actually equally as expensive for international fans as FC membership. How is that beneficial to ifans? “Weverse for ALL fans”?

6. Weverse membership ticketing: You need to have a weverse account then a weply account to purchase the membership then enter the raffle for a CHANCE to get concert tickets. Not even guaranteed.

7. People say SVT have a choice of whether to post on public weverse or official membership only. You really think SVT is going to do that? They don’t even post on Carat membership in FC unless it’s their birthday At least we have 13 members so we get at least 13 posts (maybe)

8. Language: You say that Weverse is easier to navigate because there’s an English option. Fancafe has an English option too. The only thing that makes Weverse better is that they also have Japanese. Woohoo! But that doesn’t affect the majority of ifans+

+Both have an English version. Both also have an auto-translate that sucks equally as much. The English version for both are equally as bad.

9. Weverse privacy issue: personal information including name, email, gender, and phone number was leaked.

10. Some ifans: you want weverse to “get interactions and play with SVT” to “get a reply from SVT”. If this is true, I feel like there is no sincerity in your love for SVT. Just want attention and clout. You can receive a reply on Fancafe!!+

Sometimes they reply to non-korean comments as well. Take the time to learn something new. I’ve had guides and answer questions about Fancafe.
10. Small things: the app crashes and is extremely laggy. It’s frustrating!Hoshi won’t even bother learning and having the patience

Of course this is my opinion. Please develop your own opinion but I’m just a fan and a human so stop attacking me & carats who are against weverse. I understand they can still use FC and I’ll translate both and help with Weverse too, but that’s not an issue. My argument is above
