Why and How Shakira objectively WON the 2020 Super Bowl over Jlo.

On September 26, 2019 NFL announced that Shakira and Jennifer Lopez will be co-headlining 2020 Super Bowl half time show.

Shakira immediately became a trending topic occupying the #1 trending position on Twitter both in US and WW(130K), whereas Jlo didn't trend at all.

Despite her global and US trending dominance, some US media outlets, and Jennifer's fans underestimated Shakira. Saying Jennifer is too big to a stage with Shak, which also can be objectively debunked.

The bashing turned against them, and now they are proven clowns.

After trending and Jlo being nowhere on trends.

Fast forward to January, when the expected hype began. Shakira's songs slowly started climbing on US iTunes charts. Whenever Wherever reaching top 50 peaking at #49 and Hips Don't Lie top 180.

Again Jlo was nowhere to be found

While Jlo's songs were struggling to enter top 1000 on US iTunes

Shak's classics Whenever Wherever, Hips Don't Lie remained a regular on US iTunes charts during January. With Hips Don't Lie also receiving gains in streams.

On January 30, 2020. Shakira and Jennifer Lopez held a press conference in Miami.

and just like the announcement day, Shakira's name was trending Worldwide and in the USA, with Jlo nowhere to be found AGAIN.

On February 2, 2020 special Hasghtags with emojis were released for both Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.

#Shakira 's hashtag became a trending one whereas Jlo' s didn't

On February 2, 2020 Shakira started trending before the half time show and as usual became the #1 trending topic WORLDWIDE and in THE US with tweets reaching 2.6 Million tweets, more tweets than the Super Bowl itself.

Jlo's 2 trending names accumulated a maximum of - 300K tweets

Shakira was the most tweeted word on twitter in the US for TWO DAYS on February 2, and February 3.

Just to put things more into perspective, here is a live bar graph notice how Shakira dominated US twitter on February 2, and how little jlo's name appears with a very small popularity and immediately disappears, while Shakira remains domimant w HUGE gap.

Now let's move to United States Google searches and YouTube searches (pictures respectively)

Shakira dominated Google and YouTube searches on the day of the Super Bowl (02.02.2020)

Even the Washington Post pointed out the big favoritism towards Shakira.

Immediately after the Super Bowl, both Shakira and Jlo's discographies had boosts in sales.

Shakira dominated by a huge gap WW and the US.

Whenever Wherever quickly jumped to #1 on US iTunes, and scored 4 top 10s, whike Jlo remained out of the top 15.

On streaming platforms as well Shakira dominated by charting on Global and US Spotify charts, whereas Jlo charted basically nowhere. Again jlo nowhere to be found.

On Global digital (combination of all digital and streaming platforms) artists chart Shakira rose to #12, whereas Jlo barely cracked #50 with a huge gap of 1000 points

Shakira's videos saw a huge boost on iTunes US Video charts. Occupying the top 2. Later Hips Don't Lie joined at #3 and La Tortura peaked at #9

After the Super Bowl week, week ending on February 6. Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" entered RollingStone's Top 100 songs of the week at #82

Y of course none of Jlo's SB songs debuted on the chart.

Sony Music Latin released similar stats, Shakira of course dominating!

Notice how they wrote "Jlo reaching new heights" because the girl isn't used to doing numbers.

Shakira still has a huge presence on US charts, #15 iTunes. 2 top, 30s 4 top 100s. Still on Spotify. With 12 of her albums still charting.

Whereas jlo free fell out of top 100, and all her music is almost out of charts.

We love the real headliner, we see it.

On the week following the Super Bowl, Shakira's Waka Waka had a surge in views entering top 60 most viewed WORLDWIDE, with 5 songs in the top 50.

JLo stayed out of the top 100, with only 1 song in the top 500

It's Feb 10.
And Shakira still has 3 songs in iTunes US top 100, a 2006 song charting on Spotify, and 7 albums charting on iTunes.

And a leg on the other girl's neck
