My second favorite DCEU movie, BoP embraces the zany fun of comic book films in a Deadpool-esqe way. The fight scenes are more creative and fun than most superhero fare. Jurnee Smollett-Bell and Ewan McGregor steal the show.

I really enjoyed the first one and while I still had a good time, this didn't grab me in the same way. The supporting cast brought the first film to life, but they felt like set scenery in this one with things just seeming to happen.

What a solid film. Witty script that serves as a love letter to pop culture, with great performances from Carey, Marsden, and Schwartz (shoutout to Adam Pally). No character feels wasted and it's a top notch family blockbuster. Can't wait for the sequel.

Films of 2020 #5: Onward
A solid Pixar film, full of fun jokes and visual gags. I think I liked the individual beats more than I liked the film as a whole. Pratt and Holland elevate the material and the Colt is probably my favorite character.
