Today I& #39;m finally starting my first furniture project in like 15 yrs. My aunt gave me a bed, which came with a frame. I& #39;ve never owned a bed with a frame!
But the frame definitely needs some changes to feel like mine. There& #39;s also some damage to it that needs repaired

The footboard is sanded. I don& #39;t need to strip the paint because I& #39;m going to prime it, I just need to rough it up a bit. Next step is to fix the crack in it, which wont be done pretty because I& #39;m going to cover the area. I just need the panel structurally sound
More sanding because I found a bunch of dings, some putty to fill the worst gouges and the support for the crack glued in place.
Just gotta let the putty dry and then I& #39;ll sand it smooth and prime this side

I picked up paint samples and the guy didn& #39;t label and they look almost identical

Once the bed is finished this will be my next project. It came from my sister originally and was abandoned by her due to my nephew breaking the bottom 2 drawers. It was covered in nicotine.
I& #39;ll paint it to coordinate with the bed frame and the nightstands I wanna redo
