in this regard you can totally have a thinking addiction, and once you look out for it you start noticing problem thinkers everywhere

the challenging thing is that you can get addicted to intermediate steps that are genuinely helpful, eg at this stage of my picky eater journey I could’ve ended up just watching videos for years
