This is a detailed thread on how to make sure you are properly streaming on Apple Music. It goes through all steps from checking your settings to adding to a playlist.

Here we go!
Step 1: Check your settings and sure that your Auto-Add Playlist Songs to Library setting is turned OFF. This is very important.

Go to your settings -> Scroll down to the settings for the “Apple Music” App. Then make sure the bar by “Add Playlist Songs” is GRAY, not green.
Step 2: Make sure the downloaded track is deleted & removed from your library.

1) Go to the track. Press and hold on the song title and select “Remove Download”.
2) Press and hold again and “Delete From Library”.

Do BOTH of these steps to ensure the download is totally gone.
Step 3: Add the song to a playlist so you can listen to it.

Search for the song you want. Once you find it, press and hold the song. You can either add it to an existing playlist or make a new playlist. Make sure that you have a plus “+” by the track. Then you’re good!
Step 4 (Optional Tip):
If you don’t want to keep searching for a particular song/album over and over, you can create playlists with songs. For example you can make one for each album. Just search and add them like before. You don’t need to add them to your library.
