As my children have gotten to the age where they are developing the ability to understand racism and racial discrimination, I’ve really deepened my study of it’s origins. I needed to be able to provide facts when building their knowledge base to combat the rhetoric and 1/n
and gaslighting, and to recognize the micro-aggressions they’ll face. I often say that you can “smell” the bigotry you encounter. But I’ve recently realized that unless you’re aware, a person will seek explanations based on every variable outside of racism. 2/n
Anyway, I wanted to start a thread to share (in one place) what I’ve been studying since Disaster 2016. Hopefully it can be a help to anyone seeking to steel young people against the WS gaslighting and insidious hate speech that’s been on the rise. 3/n
