I've been having a little squizz at the Safer Communities Fund, I wanted to see if that scheme has been pork-barreled too. I looked at 409 grants on GrantConnect

These 409 grants total $98,660,292 of taxpayer money

#ScottyFromMarketing introduced this fund bcuz of community safety & perceived religious intolerance, it's designed to grant money to community orgs & places of worship

The Ruddock Report did NOT find any evidence of religious intolerance in Aust being a big problem.

A recent report into antisemitism found a drop in physical attacks/abuse since 2013.

Yet, the govt is still spruiking fear & is prepared to commit millions for it on the eve of trying to get their Religious Discrimination Bill through Parl.

The electorate that was been awarded the most Safer Communities Fund grants was Wentworth, Turnbull's former seat now held by Liberal's Dave Sharma.

Wentworth has received $6,649,467.00, mainly going to Jewish organisations.

Many other seats got nothing.

Some individual places of worship received more SCF funding than entire councils received from the govt's Drought Communities Fund

Is religious intolerance really a more pressing problem than the drought?

Example: these two places of worship got $1,485,000 each

Most funding went to non-denominational organisations for community safety, each round has a different criteria with some focusing specifically on keeping kids safe from religious intolerance

A private security company even got a grant to upgrade their security! WTF?

IMHO I think the Morrison Govt has pork-barreled the fuck out of this grant scheme too.

The Safer Communities Fund is the responsibility of Spud & Porter

And finally, I think Morrison & Co are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill in terms of religious intolerance in Australia.
