Arriving in Tokyo& #39;s Haneda airport last week, the Japanese border security officials were using temperature radars to surveil arriving passengers and taking those who were showing high temperatures aside. The coronavirus was a lead story in Japanese media. https://twitter.com/callapilla/status/1219390576560201729">https://twitter.com/callapill...
The danger of the #coronovirus was clear a week-plus ago. Certainly the Japanese were very aware of it. Have no idea why any public health officials would try to play down what a virus will make clear is obviously dangerous. It is 2020-people travel. https://twitter.com/schwartzbCNBC/status/1220024550878076930">https://twitter.com/schwartzb...

The threat posed by the #Coronavirus was clear, at least to the Japanese authorities no later than cJan 10 or thereabouts. Quite why Australian authorities acted so slowly (PR? Spin? Fear of Beijing?) is staggering in an age of mass travel esp in Asia. https://twitter.com/7NewsAdelaide/status/1220557555799248896">https://twitter.com/7NewsAdel...
The PRC will have to & #39;come clean& #39; in a transparent way about how the #Coronavirus originated noting the "Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory" operates in the area of the outbreak. Kudos to @TomCottonAR here for pushing back on obvious causation issues.

Good thread here by @EpsilonTheory re #Coronavirus and the maddening narrative-maintenance going on now as against the evidence of what is actually happening https://twitter.com/EpsilonTheory/status/1228530396192813057">https://twitter.com/EpsilonTh...
NY Times buries lede (one speculates why) on Xi & the #Coronavirus ... if this was a mere localised virus, why would Xi be so involved so early on? And why has the PRC been so cagey about transparency re the virus& #39; origins...noting PRC state labs in Wuhan https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/15/world/asia/coronavirus-china-live-updates.html">https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/1...
No doubt the PRC will now fully open up its research on #Coronavirus to combat this story.....lest anyone think the virus originated in a PRC state lab.... https://twitter.com/OSINTHK/status/1228664201452765185">https://twitter.com/OSINTHK/s...

The Russians closed their China border on Jan 30...now comes the & #39;backfill& #39; in late March of cooperation to sustain the #DragonBear relationship despite Moscow& #39;s complete lack of trust in Beijing in January. https://tass.com/world/1114985 ">https://tass.com/world/111...
This is just the US - the UK/EU area has been ravagaed by the #Coronavirus ... the idea that China gets a & #39;no harm, no foul& #39; exit from this disaster given Wuhan orgins & Beijing& #39;s lies is believed only by China& #39;s lobbyists & useful media idiots https://twitter.com/markknoller/status/1245541337837035525">https://twitter.com/markknoll...
If nothing else, #Coronavirus has exposed the World Health Organization as, in this crisis, little more than a useful cut-out for Beijing& #39;s lies and propaganda. Hard to see how WHO survives without major reform.
