One interesting point of context: McConnell has told me he hopes to work with next Democratic President to trim Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid. Says you need bipartisan deal to do so.

That includes adjusting eligibility given longer lifespans, McConnell said. In other words: Raise the retirement age.

McConnell disappointed entitlement deal with Obama fell apart. (Obama was willing to trim entitlements but wanted ~$1T in tax $ from high earners. Rs said no. Irony: They could have just cut taxes more when they were back in power!)

I have some ideas about how a Biden-McConnell budget negotiation would go. I have no idea what would happen in a Bernie-McConnell deal.
