Twitter Algorithms & Shadowban Thread.

After weeks of research, and pro tips from many of you, I have compiled some helpful information about how to “beat Twitter algorithms”, that are designed to suppress content from people deemed “less desirable” by Twitter.
It may feel like there’s nothing you can do, but I’ve learned that’s not true. If willing, you can adjust your behavior to prevent being Shadowbanned, or if already Shadowbanned, you can fix your account.

☑️What does it mean to be Shadowbanned?
It means Twitter algorithms are suppressing the visibility of your Tweets and Replies. Twitter is automated. Unless you are really famous, no human is sitting at a desk somewhere, specifically manipulating YOUR twitter account.
Twitter algos constantly calculate which Tweets and Replies to show to which people. There are a combination of factors but it mostly depends on how much interest there seems to be in your content, and the engagement level with your content.
There is a calculation for the level of public interest in your Tweets, and a ‘score’ for how ‘closely’ connected you are to someone. The combination of these factors affects if somebody will see your Tweets & Replies.
If they see your Replies, the might see them up high in the regular area, or way at the bottom after clicking “more replies”… or even further down in the “show potentially offensive replies” area.
The SAME reply will show up in different areas for different people. Somebody who already follows you may see it in either of the first two areas, while a total stranger would have to go down into the potentially offensive area to see them (if they have offensive tweets ON).
☑️Levels of Shadowban.
On https://shadowban.eu/TruthHammer888  you can read the four known types of effects. There are probably more ways not known to the public, or not easily verified.
👉 Language Use: Using language that is aggressive, combative, confrontational, or demeaning to tweet or to reply to other users, especially BlueCheckMark accounts.

👉 Identical Text: Using nearly identical language to reply to multiple other accounts in a short period of time.
👉 Identical Images: Using an identical or nearly identical image to reply to other accounts in a short period of time.

👉 Automation and Copy & Paste: Copy and pasting an identical or nearly identical reply to multiple other accounts in a short period of time.
👉 Rapid Tweeting: Tweeting, replying, or creating a chain of connected tweets in a short period of time.

👉 Following/Follower Ratio: Accounts with more followers will get away with a higher number aggressive tweets before getting Shadowbanned.
👉 Low Trust Accounts: Accounts with fewer than 500 followers are the most likely to be affected by the Shadowban Penalty, 2-3 aggressive tweets are all it takes for those accounts to get Shadowbanned for 48 hours.
👉 New Accounts: Accounts less than one year old are much more likely to trip up the Shadowban Penalty with any of the above offenses.
👉 How short is a short period of time? If you have less than 500 followers, and you post the same reply three times in a thirty-minute period, you will probably activate the Shadowban Penalty.

The higher your “bot” score, the more likely Twitter is to trigger a temporary Shadowban on your account.

☑️How to remove your Shadowban.
If you completely stop tweeting, your Shadowban Penalty will usually disappear within 48 hours. Some reports indicate it can take up to 5 days depending on how “hard” the penalty score on your account is.
☑️BlueCheckMark accounts
A BlueCheckMark account is almost totally immune to the normal Shadowban Penalty algorithm. When they suppress major voices like @realDonaldTrump, they are doing something more sneaky than “the usual”.
☑️Content Providers
Twitter looks at the ratio of Followers/Following. This means the ratio of people that follow you, versus the number you follow. If an account has 40,000 followers and it follows back 1,000 people, the ratio is 40:1.
Similar to osmotic pressure in biology, a high ratio is like “pressure” for tweets to get out beyond your current "bubble" and reach new people.
Why? Because Twitter considers it to be a natural phenomenon, and a form of "mass psychology"... a way for people to show which opinions they are most interested in hearing.
I hope you will support my strategy to beat the Twitter algorithms, and not take offense if this account doesn’t Follow Back. It’s 100% up to YOU to decide who are the content providers that YOU want people to hear on Twitter.
When this all started some great patriots became true digital warriors. They showed us how to meme, how to tell the story of this movement to others. These are a few that have inspired me to step outside my comfort zone and speak up 👉
In case you are curious, here are their current F/FB ratios, as of today, Jan 18, 2020

Follower ratio is now approaching 3.8 and engagement is accelerating... I think I'm right that this partially overcomes Twitter algos.

Thank you for your support.
I try to respond to all positive comments as a way of giving back.
