Here is my thread on why I believe that Daiya no Ace is the best sports anime and why you guys should Watch/Read Daiya no Ace

Ima just start out by saying this. If the reason why you won’t watch is because it’s about baseball then you just need to stop judging a book by its cover. Most people that say baseball is boring come back to thank me for making them watch the show

Basic plot, sawamura at the end of his last junior high game got scouted by Rei Takashima who saw his potential and invited him to the power house school that’s Seido. His thinks about it and in the end decides to go to the school. While entering the training field u can tell

that the school has amazing players and that they r all better then current sawa but that doesn’t stop sawa’s dream of going to nationals and becoming the Ace of the team. The kid proved himself at the school in episode 2. You’ll see what I’m talking about

That basically kickstarted the story and his journey. After that the story is filled with teamwork, laughs, tears and anything u can ever imagine. It takes its time to build up the characters and story and that’s why it has over 160 plus episodes. The story is fantastic

The MC Sawamura Eijun is honestly one of the most love able MC’s that you’ll ever see. Literally impossible to hate this man. He is a underdog in a overdog story. He comes to a school full of amazing players and always gets judged whenever he does something wrong and booed by

by the crowd but that doesn’t stop him from trying to get better. He starts out by being honestly the weakest on the team but turns out to be one of the best later on. His character development is honestly top tier. One of the best there is. Young GOAT

The rivalry’s in this show are amazing especially between Furuya and Sawamura. Their development together is also another top tier one. Furuya went from wanting to be ace like sawamura and didn’t care for sawa but as time went on his character changed and along with sawa

he started helping him and he started admiring sawa for his hard work and they basically became revivals with a strong relationship just competing with each other to be the ace of the team. They help each other get better. One of the best rivalries I have ever seen

The cast of this show is actually one of the best casts in any anime ever. From the 3rd years to the first years and the coaches. Everyone is lovable and relatable and they all help each other be better players. It’s almost impossible to hate anyone from this show cause they are

all lovable, they may seem goofy off the pitch but when it comes to the games they all focus up and it leads to some of the most intense games you’ll ever see. The chemistry between all the characters also make you love them even more. The batteries that the

Pitcher and catcher make are some of the best Duos ever, this picture is Okumura and Sawamura. The next GOAT battery that the streets aren’t ready for they both work together to unleash the best in each other. You can tell these 2 r goated together

The duos out on the field also like Kuramochi and Ryosuke are also GOATED like everything else in the show

The show also has some duos and batteries that u just wish u would have seen more. As much as I LOVE Miyuki, the Chris and Sawamura battery would easily been the best in the whole show. You’ll see why it wasn’t a main thing

Daiya no Ace also has some amazing voice acting and some of your favorite characters share the same va with some of the Daiya cast

It’s a sports anime so obviously the other teams are going to be “antagonists” but Mei is an example of a amazing antagonist and a lovable one. His character is amazing and the vibes he gives on the mound shows why he is the king. The man doesn’t like to lose

In Daiya obviously you’re going to want the boys on Seido to win but when teams like yakushi are playing you just want them to win also a lot of the teams are lovable and you just hate to see them lose. You build bonds with the other teams cause the cast is that great

The show also puts a lot of time into the other teams as well. Like you see them playing a lot even when Seido are not versing them

Daiya no Ace has some of the best ost’s ever in any anime that I’ve ever heard. All the character theme songs match each of their personalities when they are in the game. It just gets you hyped. For example this is Sawamuras theme. You know he is about to go crazy when u hear it

Daiya no Ace is the only show to have Miyuki Kazuya

Obviously Daiya animation isn’t ufotable level and such but it’s still pretty good. It’s animated by Madhouse which also animated Hunter x Hunter 2011, the first seasons were also co produced with production ig. Same people that animate Haikyuu

In Daiya everyone gets their own time to shine. It’s not all about the MC, sometimes the MC is outshined by the other players in some games cause it focuses on everyone on the teams

Daiya no Ace has some of the most intense games you’ll ever see. Especially when you get to the tournaments you’ll be on the edge of your seats for all the games. And don’t get me started on the cliff hangers. You won’t want to stop. The show is addicting

Even after the losses, that doesn’t stop the players, they get sad at first but later on they take that loss and use it to get better overall so they won’t lose the next

Ima just warn u guys rn tho, the show is amazing and all but sometimes it just be hitting your feels especially when u watch the episode about a certain someone’s story and the 3rd years graduating. Show is amazing and some scenes just HIT in your feels

I highly recommend watching the show instead of reading the manga first cause it just feels amazing just witnessing the scenes that they have animated but the manga ain’t bad at all. The art in Daiyas manga is honestly underrated. It’s really good as you can see from these
