For the last month, I have been working on getting certified to teach in Florida + digging into schools to create a list of where I& #39;d like to apply. I fell down a rabbit hole the last couple of weeks researching this gifted school with an amazing reputation.

I had to submit a letter of intent + a series of short essays along with my application + resume. I& #39;ve been working on this so hard for days + finally submitted everything this morning before work.

I already got a response that the principal wants to interview me!!!

Sunday scaries on a Monday since we had a long weekend AND I have this interview tomorrow immediately after I get home from school, so double the anxiety.

The interview went really well (I think)!!! I really liked the principal + now I love the school even more. Please y& #39;all just pray for me + send good vibes, I REALLY want this job.

She said she was going to contact my references + then "get back with me" + I haven& #39;t heard anything yet.

My husband was offered an interview today, too.

But I still haven& #39;t heard back from the principal + now I feel sick about it. Literally keep checking my email like a crazy person.

I still haven& #39;t heard back from her (DISTRAUGHT) but hubs is interviewing right now in my office + y& #39;all I am praying so hard. This man deserves a job at a school as great as he is.

Told my P today that we are trying to move.

When hubs interviewed the P told him that she expected for us to hear something in the next two weeks + I& #39;m well aware that I have a whole other week, but if I don& #39;t hear something, I might EXPLODE.

Got a phone call from the P today + missed it because I was just wrapping up my workout. Called back a few mins later + missed her. She just texted me + asked me to call her tomorrow during my planning period. Y& #39;all, I& #39;m SCARED. It could be nothing. Reference check? Idk idk SOS.

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!
I have to get approved at the March board meeting but Y& #39;ALL, I got the freaking job!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waiting on hubs& #39; references to hurry up + call them back so we can hear about him but the P was talking about BOTH of us coming to visit the school when we& #39;re down during Spring Break, which sounded like a good sign to me!

J just got a text from the P asking him to call her any time after 1700.

I am BEYOND humbled at the prayers answered.

The board meeting where our hires get approved was this evening. Waiting ~patiently for our contracts now!

We picked out our classroom furniture (yea, that& #39;s a thing!!!). We also just got our new work email accounts + "next steps" from our principal. Eeeeek.

Florida schools closed for the rest of the year today, so there is a whole lotta virtual things in our future for the new school.

We were officially introduced to the new school community today on Facebook.

Yesterday J found out that he& #39;s teaching fifth grade ELA. I haven& #39;t heard anything about what I& #39;m teaching.
