Utterly dazzling. The magnificence of this book made me yearn for something like this set in an Indian milieu, for someone to write with so much empathy about our women’s stories, the stories of today and of our times. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/41081373

Slow-burn psychological period murder mystery. Mindhunter fans, you’ll LOVE this. After reading this, slightly understood what Mysskin tried to do (but failed obviously) in Psycho.
TW: Child abuse/murder/mutilation

LOVED it. Not for those looking for a fast paced racy thriller. This one burns slowly, takes its own sweet time bringing the pieces together, but so fulfilling at the end. There’s life, loss, and a lot of truth in this. Deeply philosophical and such an unusual mystery.

I’ve had this book on my shelf for > 2 yrs without opening it, because no courage. Eventually when I did, I realised how it’s not just about one man’s journey towards death, but also about living life to its fullest along the way. Also, wept like a baby at the epilogue.

That bloody joyous feeling when you’ve stumbled on A STUNNER OF A BOOK by pure chance and gut feel. I can only think of some superfluous adjectives strung together, all of which would still be inadequate in describing the beauty this book is. *hat-doff*
