Star Wars Legends Megathread! Been considering this for a while, so over the coming weeks I’m going to be working my way through the Legends timeline and discussing some rarities and obscure entries that make up the Legends continuity that we all know and love #starwarslegends
Please note - all dating is taken from my own personal timeline spreadsheet. Where no solid info is available then I may have arbitrarily placed it myself (and chances are I won’t be able to remember why I chose the year I did!)
The earliest entry I have placed at 200,000 BBY. “A Soldier’s Tale: Notron In Flames” from the absolutely incredible “Essential Guide To Warfare” (2012) by the amazing @jasoncfry regarding the ancient war between the Zhell and the Taung.
Another entry that is more myth that history is “Tale Of The Aiwha Pod”, by Ryan Kaufman. This tale of the Kaminoan Gods was only ever published in the Prima Game Guide (2005) for the Republic Commando video game. For no reason at all I placed this entry at 100,000 BBY
25,783 BBY With this short story we reach the earliest days of the Legends timeline as we know it. “Dawn Of The Jedi: Eruption” (2013) by iconic Legends author @jfostrander was an introduction to the Dawn Of The Jedi era. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Eruption
25,763 BBY “The Adventures Of Lanoree Brock - Je’daii Ranger” by Tim Lebbon is a short story in the form of a ships log that occurs between Chapters 2-3 of the Dawn Of The Jedi novel. https://web.archive.org/web/20150429112538/http://www.kindlepost.com/2013/04/guest-blogger-tim-lebbon-author-of-star-wars-dawn-of-the-jedi.html
24,500 BBY - “Jedi Apprentice Danzigorro Potts recording” is the earliest of many vignettes contained in “Jedi Vs. Sith: The Essential Guide To The Force” (2007) by Legends stalwart @ryderwindham. I love the lore in this book, and can not recommend it enough!
24,000 BBY - “The Watchman’s Tale”. Back to “The Essential Guide To Warfare”, well almost. This short story is from @jasoncfry http://starwars.com blog sharing material that didn’t make it into the final book.

23,000 BBY - “Sar Argon recording”. Back to “Essential Guide From The Force”. We’ll see many of these historical vignettes that provide so much world building to the GFFA.
Ok, that’s it for tonight. If you want more information on any of the books mentioned, or (shameless plug time) Legends (and Canon) timelines, then check out http://youtini.com
6,900 BBY - “Ajunta Pall recording”. Another piece from TEGTTF, giving us a Sith Lords perspective to the ages-old battle between the Sith and the Jedi, and a nice mention of the Leviathan on Corbos, as well as Ziost and Korriban
5,000 BBY - “Naga Sadow recording”. We finally reach the KOTOR era proper with this vignette from TEGTTF featuring Naga Sadow, Sith Lord from the Tales Of The Jedi series.
5,000 BBY - “Chronicles Of The Old Republic Part 1: A Golden Age”. In 2004 LucasArts released this series of historical summaries on the old KOTOR II website. This first part covers the first two Tales Of The Jedi graphic novels.
5,000 BBY -“The Old Republic Timeline: The Great Hyperspace War”. In 2009-2011 BioWare released videos promoting The Old Republic MMORPG. Narrated by Jedi Master Gnost-Dural (voiced by Lance Henricksen), the videos summarised significant events of the era
4,904 BBY - “The Old Republic Timeline #11: Rebirth Of The Sith Empire”. #theoldrepublic
