/casually starts a thread with all the bi characters I find while reading BL manga in 2020
Fuwa Toro’s Yarashii otoko has a scene where the main characters talk about using a dating app and bisexuality comes up.
Saeki: I’m fine with both [men and women], but trying to find guys without using the internet is kind of a hassle, right
Iizuka (thinking): Oh, so he’s bi?
In Ogi-kun no natsuyasumi by Koikawa, the main character Ogi falls for a blind younger guy, Tago, he meets during the summer holiday. Ogi’s friend Kanako questions his self-proclaimed bisexuality:
”You’re always talking about guys, are you really bi? Aren’t you just gay”
Ogi refutes this by listing a bunch of girls he likes, but Kanako points out, ”aren’t they all idols?” Later, it turns out that Kanako has a crush on Ogi and has been hoping that him being bi means he could like her back
In Pink Heart Jam by Shikke, the manga that was infamously put on hiatus because of illegal scanlations, the main character talks about his sexuality with his senpai:
“Maybe I’m bi”
“Maybe? You haven’t liked a guy before?”
“Not exactly, but there was this time in high school...”
