Disney is anti-bird. I have compiled arguments one winter day while surrounded by my friends who were high on acid agreeing with everything I said.
These two birds from Cinderella were mere servants to the yt protagonist. Only existed as helpers and for cuteness factor. Lacked depth. Anti-bird.
While clearly one of the best characters in The Lion King, Zazu came off as a stickler and over-bearing. Children hate stickler characters so they were drawn to be against his better judgements. Anti-bird.
From the movie Aladdin, Iago was Jafar’s henchparrot. He was evil and voiced by an actor with the most grating voice. Anti-bird and specifically anti-parrot.
Heihei from Moana was reduced to an idiot and the writers had the nerve to make such a noble and sustaining bird swallow a rock. Anti-bird.
Hayabusa is Shan Yu’s loyal falcon in the movie Mulan. He was a villain bird and ultimately had his feathers scorched off. Anti-bird.
Scuttle from The Little Mermaid claimed to be an expert of humans and our world. In reality he didn’t know much & even called a fork dinglehopper that it could be used as a comb. This is a mockery of a bird’s knowledge and made seabirds look stupid. Anti-bird.
I shall provide counterarguments later and prove that Disney is still anti-bird.
Disney’s anti-bird agenda continues! Counterargument: Donald and Daisy Duck are part of the classic~ Disney characters crew. They’re both pretty iconic birds HOWEVER Donald can be seen as short tempered which causes an on/off again relationship with Daisy being quickly frustrated
Daisy is also buddies Minnie Mouse. She can be seen as being bossy to both Donald and Minnie. The constant push and pull of the duck duo being frustrated, snooty, and quite honestly having more relationship problems to the iconic mice makes Disney ANTI-BIRD.
Now Huey, Dewey, and Louie duck are the nephews of Donald. While cute they are mischievous and give their uncle tons of grief which sets off the rage and outbursts that Donald is characterized as having. Therefore, pushing the ANTI-BIRD agenda even more.
A solid counterargument would be Nigel from Finding Nemo. He’s nice, helpful, bonded with the tank gang & even played a role in helping Martin and Nemo reunite. However, Pixar movies are merely an arm of Disney’s web of a monopoly. They aren’t part of the Disney canon; ANTI-BIRD.
You can even say Pixar has a hint of anti-bird sentiments when you remember the same movie has these annoying ass seagulls. Seagulls WILL snatch anything from humans not because they are a mindless flock. They put the fear in humans and know they do. Misrepresented; ANTI-BIRD.
****My bad I accidentally put Martin and not MARLIN.
However my points still stand! We have yet to get a solid movie about birds from Disney or just about most major animation studios. We can’t live off Rio and the dozens of penguin movies. I WANT MY RAVEN MOVIE NOW.
