Imagine a spell that requires life force to bring someone back from the dead. Everyone who Quentin’s has an affect on — everyone he’s helped, changed, or loved, all coming together and give a year or five or whatever of their lives just to have more time with him. Think about it:
Jane could suck some life from her bubble, bc she owes him.
Fogg would give a year or two and pretend to be reluctant but there’s a part of him that respects Q, and knows he deserves to live at least once.
Sunderland would maybe give a year.
Lipson would give more bc he SAVED her
Todd would give 5 because he sees Q and co as heroes and would want to help in some way.
Josh would give 3 years.
Eliot would offer half his life, and they’d narrow him down to 3 years.
Margo, Alice, Julia, Penny—they’d all give 3 years. Kady would give a year
Because despite herself she does care about him.

A few fillorians would help bc he killed Ember and Umber.

What starts as a small ritual turns into this HUGE thing. Dozens of people standing in the woods for a huge interactive spell.
The core seven are standing in the center. It looks like this, where they’re layers upon layers of circles of people linked by this spell watching and cast and waiting.
Giving bits of themselves to bring back Quentin. Who gave all of himself to save and protect and love everyone else.

That’s a powerful fucking story. It gives meaning to his sacrifice and hope to those with mental illness. We affect people we meet, and they care
And will do anything to bring us back. We matter, especially when we think we don’t.

I want a story that shows me that.
Something that seems like a sacrifice but that so many people are willing to give that nobody really loses anything. They gain their friend back.
And nobody would have to be talked into it, either. As soon as they hear, “we found a way to get him back—“ the “but” doesn’t matter. Because he is the ONLY person they each individually give a fuck about.
Just imagine them standing beneath the moon in fillory. casting together. It’d be fucking beautiful
And the moment Q comes back — he’s confused. But he knows. Somehow he knows that he has a piece of all them — that they cared enough to not only fight for him, but give a small part of themselves to him? God.
God even imagine if it’s Eliot, Alice, and Julia approaching people. All of them expecting to give a big speech about WHY they should help, and expecting to only get a few more years with him until they find something else.
But then every person they approach? They offer more than the 3 or 6 months they’re asking for. And then people approach THEM asking if they can help. It goes from trying to get some more time with him to the ability to give him a full fucking life
The one thing he spent his whole life thinking he’d never have outside of a fantasy life in Fillory.
