Book 1 was a reread of EVERY HEART A DOORWAY. It's the first in one of my FAVOURITE SERIES, and 10/10 always makes me cry. Portal fantasy, diverse characters, murder, mystery, feeling lost and then found. Highly recommend if you enjoy any of those things!
Book 2 was NINTH HOUSE
Dark and gritty, full of magic, ghosts, murder, and demons. It's the type of fantasy that makes you realize how evil people can be. Not everyone's cup of tea, but if you love it you'll dive straight to the deep end. Solid 4/5
from me.

Book 3 was BLOOM, written by Kevin Panetta, illustrated by Savanna Ganucheau. Contemporary YA graphic novel, LGBTQ+ main characters, lots of baking, has family themes. 10/10 made my heart weep. I loved every frame, and recommend if you're looking for a light, wholesome story.
Book 4 was COME TUMBLING DOWN (5th Wayward Children title). It made me cry three times. Readers travel back to the Moors, see vampires, mad scientists, the Drowned Gods, reanimated corpses, and a full cast of loveable characters. 5/5
for Jack, my most favorite monster of all

Book 5 was THE MAJESTIES by Tiffany Tsao. A beautiful cover with a plot that includes mass murder, family history, super rich people, and a confusing ending that will make you scream and rethink everything. 3/5, you never know what grandma's hiding.
Book 6 was CAST NO SHADOW. 0/5, do not recommend. Total waste of time for many reasons. Attaching a screenshot of my Goodreads review because I don't want to give any more time or energy to this.
Book 7 was THE LAST CONFESSION OF AUTUMN CASTERLY. Contemporary YA thriller told from the perspective of two sisters: one who's been kidnapped, with the other trying to find her. 5/5 stars, survivors are strong as hell and people need to LISTEN TO THEM.
Book 8 was THE SUN AND HER FLOWERS
Beautiful as always, and bolstered so much self love and confidence. A great collection of poems for those looking to dip their toes into the world of poetry.

Book 9 was SKIM. Incredibly angsty, full of teenage witches, and a true coming of age story set in 90s Toronto. Talks a lot about suicide in a high school setting. 4/5 stars, the artwork was also incredible.
Book 10 was SHIT IS REAL. This graphic novel was WEIRD and I don't even know how to explain it. A lot of subconscious/dreamlike prose, but drawn instead of written? 2/5 for me, despite having great reviews on Goodreads. Read it for yourself I guess?
Book 11 was THE VERY LAST LEAF. This picture book for kids is perfect for fall, and is set to hit shelves in August. Inspiring, educational, and beautifully illustrated. Buy it for the little ones in your life!
Book 12 was SAWKILL KILLS. I loved this book with my entire heart
Dark, twisty, f/f relationship with a spicy scene
, the perfect sapphic horror experience. I need 100 more books like this. 5/5 stars, I love all the badass girls who call Sawkill home.

Books 13 &14 were FENCE VOL. 1 and 2. Swords, rivals, private school kids, and a cast of diverse characters who are super into competitive fencing. I absolutely loved this niche subject, and am looking forward to more. 4/5 stars, who would have thought I'd love a sports comic?

Book 15 was BUY YOURSELF THE F*CKING LILIES
This book hit me hard in the feels. It's about stress and anxiety, hitting rock bottom, and re-parenting yourself, going to therapy, and getting your shit together. I laughed and cried, and loved it so much.

Book 16 was WITNESS PROTECTION WIDOW. This was my first ever Harlequin book, and y'all, it was absolutely terrible but also entertaining? I keep comparing it to watching a movie so bad it's good. A lot less sex than I thought there'd be though, which was disappointing.
Book 17 was ALL SYSTEMS RED, recommended to me by @acouplereads
I am usually terrified of robots, but Murderbot is my favorite!!! 10/10 recommend, everyone needs to read this. My love for this book knows no bounds.

Book 18 was THE BURNING
Thanks @bibliovirgo_ for letting me borrow it! This book addresses online harassment/abuse, slut shaming, and elements of mental health, with a pinch of witchcraft mixed in as well. Incredibly important, and recommended to all.

Book 19 was MY HERO ACADEMIA, VOL. 1. I've been a big fan of this anime series for a while, and the manga was just as good! High school kids with quirks (weird super powers) train to be heroes and fight evil. Similar to X-Men, but sillier. 10/10, always cheers me up.
Book 20 was THE BLACKBIRD GIRLS. Middle grade, historical fiction set in the backdrop of the Chernobyl disaster. It focuses on female friendship, and the strength humans show in the face of adversity. Heartbreaking and uplifting, both at the same time.
I am VERY behind on updating this thread soooooooo it's time to play some catch up! Part of me wants to apologize for the flood of tweets that's about to come, but no, I'm never going to say sorry for bringing ya'll BOOK CONTENT!
