Listening to @mrjamesob today, he asked the question: “What have Harry & Meghan done wrong?”

Watched a load of videos of her and concluded: it’s not about what they’ve done wrong, it’s about what she represents: feminism, activism, diversity etc.

All the things ‘they’ hate.

1/
Markle on a water project in Rwanda: “These girls are able to stay in school, because they don’t have to walk hours each day to get water, and this water source has changed the entire community. It’s not just about clean drinking water, it’s about education.”
2/
Markle: “I think it’s really great to be a feminist and be feminine, to embrace both.”

Larry King: “Is feminism still a good word?”

Markle: “Yes, it’s not the F word.”
3/
Markle at Grenfell community kitchen: “I had just recently moved to London and felt immediately embraced by the women in the kitchen. Also, to be in this city & to see, in this one small room, how multicultural it was. I feel so proud to live in a city with so much diversity”
4/
Markle on donating: “Community is going through your closet and saying, this is the blazer I wore when I nailed my first job interview. I don’t need it now because I’m where I want to be, but if I can share that blazer and be part of another woman’s success, that’s community”
5/
Markle on empowerment: “I hear a lot of people saying, when speaking of girl’s empowerment, ‘You’re helping women find their voices’ and I fundamentally disagree with that, because women don’t need to find their voice, they have a voice, they need to feel empowered to use it”

As a republican, this was a strange thread to put together. I don’t follow the Royals, and I didn’t know much about Markle before I watched a load of videos today. But now I understand why so many idiots hate her: she’s a decent woman.

Ok, that’s enough monarchy for me.

Ps. Annoy the idiots. Buy the cookbook.

‘Together celebrates the power of cooking to connect us to one another.

In the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire, a group of local women gathered together to cook fresh food for their families and neighbours.’

Wow! When I checked the National and International Cookery section yesterday, Together wasn’t even in the top 50 (as far down as I went). Now it’s number 5! Also number 1 in African Cookery section.

Well done, Twitter! 🌶🥑🥥

As we’re on a roll, @SmartWorksHQ is the charity Markle talks about in one of the videos. They help women into work by providing interview coaching, styling advice and smart interview clothes, plus more when they get a job.
