My first ever client was a schizophrenic. After two hours of strenuous probing and history taking, he revealed that he was a pedophile and had been in jail twice. I always wondered which kinda psyche these people have but I was scared, it felt like I was sitting with Ted Bundy +

It all started with relationship with his neighbor. The nature of this relationship was purely sexual. It lasted for 5 years and the girl married her cousin. This breakup caused him much pain. He formed 2 more relationships but they also ended. These breakups left him all alone+

He looked little girls as weak creatures and began to feed on them in order to fulfill his sexual urges. The number of girls abused by him ranged from 15 to 20 of age 3 to 6 . He did not know the exact no. himself. It seemed like my heart will burst in a minute as he explained +

How he set the traps for them, made them fall in them, how they all cried, begged him for mercy but he continued. Not all the girls told their parents and not all the parents who were told took an action against it(he laughed while reporting it). He mocked at us, the society.

The society pressurised & insisted on burning him alive for his sins. This caused the onset of his mental disorder as it usually starts when a mind can't suffer a stressful event. He saw the graves,angels and a figure coming to kill him. The content shows his awakened conscience.

He also mentioned about getting abused by his step mom(thnx to Freud for emphasizing the significance of childhood)& later in jail. The point here is that no one is a pedophile by birth,a number of factors contribute in making them so. I'm not here to defend his sexual deviance+

But u know, it all could have been prevented, so many lives would have been normal and stress free, only if there had been counselling of step mom, those little girls and the client himself. The limitation is that psychologists are inaccessible to lay person+

Psychologists are limited to their well furnished Air conditioned rooms, charging thousands for a session. Even if they are accessible, there is another problem, that is lack of awareness and the social stigma that psychologists only treat abnormal population. Wrong. COUNSELLING!

I was just wondering which Punishment would have incited less pain, to be burned alive or losing ur sanity? YOU DECIDE.
