Never ever would I have thought that Sango could challenge Zeus to a duel. When you good at this writing thing, you can do whatever the fuck you want on a page๐Ÿค—.

I like how premature ejaculation was treated in this book. Very enjoyable perspective on immigration.
13- In Cuba I Was A German Shepherd | Ana Menรฉndez

This is the first time that I haven't enjoyed a work of fiction by a Carribean writer.
14- The Shadow King | Maaza Mengiste

I'm not the intended TA for this book. If you prefer super light reads, you'd like it though.
18- Pieces & Pieces | Paul Ugbede
Oddly, I enjoyed this collection. I like the storytelling, very... Nigerian. Asides the typos and grammatical errors, it's is a pretty interesting collection.

My fave story is "Obete Ogbege And His Nine Inches"๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘Œ

Didn't like it as much as the first but I'm excited to read book 3.
20- Silver Sparrow | Tayari Jones

Definitely one of my top reads this year. I can see how this novel will be a hit in bookclubs. Loved it๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘Œ
21- Sing, Unburied, Sing | Jesmyn Ward

While I appreciate the artistry of this novel, the story did nothing for me. Didn't enjoy this one.
22- The Memory Of Love | Aminatta Forna

This is my first Forna, and it is the start of a very beautiful relationship. I love how the story unraveled. She is so good๐Ÿ‘Œ
23- The Island of Sea Women | Lisa See.

This is exactly how I like my historical fiction to be served.

What a beautiful story within all the history๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜
24- The Night Stalker | Robert Bryndza
It's pretty good, but not as gory as I like sha.
25- The Good Life | Martina Cole

She really is a boss in this Crime Drama business. Yummy yummy read.
26- A Woman Is No Man | Etaf Rum

All I can say is, Fuck the patriarchy!
Sad, sad, sad but a worthwhile read
27- The White Tiger | Aravind Adiga

This novel hit all my sweet spots. It's funny, witty and disturbing๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿค—
