An aspiring Indiehacker who has launched a product and successfully converted some customers asked me about mentorship.

I don& #39;t directly do mentorship, but I write a lot. Here& #39;s some of the things I told him might help https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👇" title="Down pointing backhand index" aria-label="Emoji: Down pointing backhand index">

I& #39;m an expert at what I have done, but that doesn& #39;t always mean I will be able to know exactly what to do in your situation. My recommendation is to do what works.

Stick to your gut - do things that you find comfortable (I like writing, so SEO is my main driver of traffic).
Marketing and distribution is more important than the product - but if your product sucks then it won& #39;t go anywhere.

You want to have an automated source of traffic (SEO, ads, consistent social media, etc.) so you can correctly evaluate if you& #39;re building the right thing.
Think about helping the customers. Having a perspective of helping other people - through content, product, and customer service - will allow you to build great word of mouth marketing.

As soon as you start thinking about yourself and being selfish, it& #39;s a downward spiral.
