I’ve fallen into a @YouTube rabbit hole of live Queen videos. This Montréal series of vids looks like it was filmed yesterday, the quality is magical. So good. And what a fucking rockstar Freddie Mercury is. Goddamn. 🔥💦
No one can rock a cape like Freddie Mercury can. 🔥 #Legend
I've spent the last week all encompassed in everything Queen. I'm in love. I've always loved the hits, but I've been diving deep into the full discography and am totally blown away. I feel like it's a whole world that I didn't know existed, and it's utterly enchanting.
Let's start with The Prophets Song from A Night at The Opera. What even is this? A fucking masterpiece is what it is. On headphones it is truly a religious experience.
The style range was extraordinary.

Bouncing to 1980 - Don't Try Suicide from The Game. The lyrics are so dark, but a little funny and yet also truly abhorrent. And yet the sound is funky, jazzy & poppy. The contrasting result is delightfully diabolical.
Tonight I'm in 1982, grooving and getting wet to Hot Space. Apparently some say it's Queen's worst album but I love it from start to finish. A few faves: Dancer, Cool Cat, and Calling All Girls here below.

Oh, Freddie. 😍💦💦💦
Of course we must not be sad that it's over, but happy that it happened. And yet there's still a part of me that is mourning the utter tragedy of the timing of Freddie's diagnosis and death. Being diagnosed with HIV in 1987 was a death sentence...
...as the response to the AIDS crisis at the time was maliciously inadequate. The fear, stigma, and discrimination by our leaders took Freddie's life and millions of others. If he was diagnosed only a few years later, he would absolutely still be here today thriving...
Freddie, I'm dancing tonight for you. You live on in our hearts and in the music as we rock on...
Holy fuck. 😅💦
My cozy Saturday night corner, grooving with Queen, my badass Monster speaker and lava lamp. Naked of course, but with warm fuzzy socks because I hate cold feet. 💗
“You say you’re hungry
I give you meat”

Um... yes please.

Bouncing back to 1977 for a little bit of psychedelic rock and funk with Get Down, Make Love.

Queen making me horny as fuck. 💦
Tonight’s taste of Queen is from 1976 - The Millionaire Waltz from A Day at the Races. An epic genre-bending mini rock-opera written by the unmatched Freddie Mercury. They can literally do any style of music and do no wrong.

💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼
Saturday night is for rocking and rolling!!! 💃🏼🙌🏼🔥🤘🏻💃🏼
I have meticulously & lovingly researched for the best Queen documentary. Taking in hours of remarkable content, and experiencing a plethora of emotions, I have settled on two. Both are affectionate & reverential pictures of the true beauty & glory of Queen and Freddie Mercury.
I hope you are sharing in my affection for Queen, and enjoy these fantastic documentaries. ❤️👑

Queen: Days of Our Lives, from BBC in 2011.

Queen: Days of Our Lives

Part 2:
Next is an Emmy award winning film by Rhys Thomas, a lifelong Queen fan & expert. Focused on Freddie’s life journey & solo projects, it features intimate interviews w/ some of Freddie’s close friends & collaborators.

Tonight I just want to share pictures of Freddie with his cats that he loved so dearly, simply because it makes my heart warm & fuzzy. ❤️👑

One story goes that while Freddie was on tour he would call home to talk to his cats & have someone put the receiver up to their ears. 😍😭
Tonight - a hauntingly beautiful gem from 1976's A Day at the Races - You Take My Breath Away. Written by Freddie, with him performing all the multilayered harmonies himself. Incredibly powerful. What a fucking genius. 💫❤️
An absolutely spellbinding performance that will send shivers up your spine. Rock and roll really doesn't get better than this, folks. Queen really was a LIVE band. 👑

"White Queen" live in 1975 at London's Hammersmith Odeon.
A very fun little ditty & brief Sunday afternoon Queen interlude for you! 👑💃💫

Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon from 1975's A Night at the Opera.
Here is a super cool video that shows the evolution in the sound and style of Queen throughout all their active years. It will remind you of all their many absolute bangers, along with a few lesser known gems!

The Evolution of Queen Music 👑
It's a kind of magic... 💫

Rockin' out naked tonight with Freddie and the boys at Wembley in 1986. 💃👑🎸🎤🎶
This has me emotional... 😪🤩

My god, Freddie's voice was just too good for this world. 👑
All I can say about this is... what a fucking badass legend. 💦👑
Rocking out tonight with a little 70s Queen and black nail polish in tribute to ever-so-beautiful 70s Freddie. 🖤👑
I’ve worked my way through the Queen discography to the final album, Made in Heaven, released after Freddie died. It's a beautiful & self-aware album. It includes all the music made in Freddie’s last days, as he wrote and recorded right up until he died. Music was his everything.
Listen to Mother Love, from the album Made in Heaven: ❤️
Too much COVID-19 over the past week. Tonight it's time for me to escape again into a magical Queen fantasy world. 💫

Please enjoy this fucking amazing performance by Freddie and Queen in Montreal in 1981. Love to you all. ❤️
Freddie and Michael Jackson did a thing.

Listen: 🕺💃
This Could Be Heaven For Everyone.

Happy Easter! A song tonight appropriate for the week - From the 1973 debut album, Queen I - “Jesus”! ✝️

Great song, excellent album. 👑
With remarkable foresight, this retro Rolling Stone review from 1973 of the debut album, Queen I, ends with “...you’d best learn to love ’em now ’cause they’re here to stay. Regal bearings aside, Queen is a monster.” 👑

Bang on! 🤩 https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-album-reviews/queen-200199/
Tonight is a coronavirus pandemic isolation living room dance party w/ Queen! ❤️💃👑 On a Monday, why the fuck not!

Millionaire Waltz is already in this thread but I love it so much & I am feeling Freddie here w/ me tonight, so let’s enjoy it again! ❤️
