This thread will help dispel the myths/lies that Democrats teach about the past through their crony historians in an effort to blur the facts about their pathetic party and confuse the masses about its disgusting history.

So many, where to begin?
The Democrat crony's story contends that Neshoba County Fairgrounds in Mississippi was chosen because it was the site where 3 civil rights workers were killed by KKK in 1964. How damning that Reagan would choose it as the place to kick off his campaign?
Case closed!
Or is it?
In reality...
Ronald Reagan's Presidential campaign kicked off in November at the Hilton hotel in NYC, in a publicly televised event (not Philadelphia, Mississippi) Reagan had secured the nomination from George Bush Sr two months prior to the convention.
Mississippi proved to be a battleground state in the 1976 election as President Carter only won the state by 5% of the vote and the GOP assumed more of the same for 1980.
The Reagan campaign knew that Mississippi was winnable. Why did they choose Neshoba County? Surely racism?
National Geographic's June, 1980 edition (One month prior to the speech) had featured Neshoba County fairgrounds in their article "Mississippi's Grand Reunion" on pg 854 which spoke of the political discourse that had taken place at the fairgrounds over its history.
Reagan's speech was not about state rights like they falsely claim and the line that he talks about state rights doesn't even garnish an applause from the audience. Listen at 11:30 to hear for yourself.
For some reason the crony media fail to mention that both (D)John Glenn in 1983 and (D) Michael Dukakis in 1988 also campaign at Neshoba County Fairgrounds...hmmm wonder why they fail to mention that?
Myth #2
The segregationist switched and became Republicans.

Most Democrat narratives point to the Dixiecrats in 1948 but to get a clearer picture on the segregationist and their resistance, one needs to look at the signatories of the Southern Manifesto in 1956.
Below will be a long list of the Democrat signatories of the Southern Manifesto starting with the 19 Senators followed by the 80 Representatives by state. I will also include which Civil Rights Bills they voted against as well and their party affiliation at date of death.

Out of 99 Democrat Senators and Congressmen who pledge "to resist" integration, only two Senators switched to the GOP.
Focus on Strom Thurmond and ignore all of the other 98% of the segregationists who remained Democrat until the end.
Deceptive Democrats
Some of the crony don't even present anything to justify their garbage. They require ignorance of history from the masses.

"Everything Lincoln stood for, if stripped of its nineteenth century labels, places him within the modern day Democratic Party." https://historynewsnetwork.org/article/3481
So who was Lincoln? Would the Founder's son be a Democrat today? Well let's first hear his own words and see how true they ring to that notion.

"I believe each individual is naturally entitled to do as he pleases with himself and the fruit of his labor"
Does this sound like any Democrat you know?

"no man believed more than I in the principle of self-government; that it lies at the bottom of all my ideas of just government, from beginning to end."
"Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties. And not to Democrats alone do I make this appeal, but to all who love these great and true principles."
"What is conservatism? Is it not adherence to the old and tried, against the new and untried? We stick to, contend for, the identical old policy on the point in controversy which was adopted by 'our fathers who framed the Government under which we live;'"
Lincoln hallowed the Constitution and the Founders, while using both to make all his decisions. Do Democrats? If you ask them, they care about the Constitution. But do they really? What part?
But but but....Republicans and Lincoln were the party of Big Government....
Or were they? I hate revisionist hacks

What did the early Republican party push for?
They wanted to pass three bills with priority.
The Homestead Act
The transcontinental Pacific Railroad
The Morrill Act
The Homestead act GAVE federal land TO THE PEOPLE

The Railroad Act grants federal land to the railroads to connect east and west FOR THE PEOPLE.

The Morrill Act GAVE Federal land grants to states for them to build agri/mechanical schools for THE PEOPLE.
Why would someone who wants to balloon the federal government grant federal lands to states?
Does this make any sense? Probably why crony don't mention it. https://twitter.com/SeanMJoyce1/status/1201824934084927489?s=20
