I was a mess back then as an angry Trump supporter. Being a liberal has brought me down to earth in realizing the person I was. Having empathy encouraged me to get PTSD therapy, getting an education, being a better role model for my kids. I came a long way and I’m ready for 2020.
1. My journey
I still get asked why I support Trump & what was the moment that got me to stop supporting Trump, along with trolls trying to discredit my story, & because of that I decided I will be sharing my story with real time tweets that will answer questions with validation.

2. My conservative origin.

3. LGBTQ Views
First off I would like to apologize for my original views on LGBTQ. This is to show you all in this thread the validity of my journey from what I used to believe to what I believe in now, and will show you I changed in this thread.

4. Immigration
Again, I’m definitely not proud of what I said here and has apologized, but I’ve stated why I’m doing this but I think this willl help you guys understand the minds of Trump supporters and why they fear immigrants. Make sure to see the whole thread, more to follow.

5. Health care. Conservatives were against Obamacare and any other forms of affordable healthcare. I felt that anything other than free market care would would take away their rights as you see here and were not empathetic enough of people not being able to afford healthcare.

A lot of my anger towards Obama was due to my ignorance of foreign policy & believed the demonizing of him from right wing propaganda because I thought he was weak leader.

I believed the demonizing of Hillary Clinton to which I believed is what cost her the election. I & a lot of Trump supporters believed she didn’t take responsibility, to which I eventually learn there was nothing there for her to take responsibility for.

8 Proof of being Republican
I registered to vote for the first time in 2004 when I was stationed at FT Knox to vote for George W. Bush, as I mentioned before I got into politics after 9/11. Stayed a Republican until 2019. The Florida Voting public registry wasn't accurate.

9. 1/2 Why Trump?
As a conservative, we felt unheard. We believe the Romney and McCain type Republicans weren’t conservative enough because they worked with Dems. We wanted a conservative American first agenda, I felt Trump spoke for us in since it was very it was a small bubble.

After I felt Trump spoke for me, American First & pro Israel agenda, being red pilled is a figure of speech of really going all in for Trump like it a cult, he was the manifestation of our ideology. Here’s a clip of why I voted for him.

Trump was elected because MAGA felt Dems & MSM are enemy of the people, basically MAGA are afraid of what they don’t understand, as you see here where my anger lied. Trump was the manifestation of that anger which is why we defended him no matter what.

When you go full on MAGA you all in which turns really ugly & hateful. My replies you see here justifying and defending Trump dropping the MOB in Syria is how low you can go without any empathy I believed Trump would protect Americans, boy was I wrong.

The dialogue between Sarah and I took place after I criticized her comedy because of conservatives being shadow banned and was upset that Sarah and liberals were comparing Trump to Hitler, as I see it clearly now that they were right. She still listened.

MAGA knew Trump wasn’t a saint. They & (myself at the time) didn’t know how bad he was. As you know everything outside of Fox News was fake news. Even though I was still a Trumper, I realized how important it was to have a respectful discourse & started asking questions.

I began discourse with people of different views. My world view of standing for the anthem was very much so of what MAGA believed in. This is one example, I’ve also learned from @jemelehill @TamikaDMallory, @EgSophie, and others.

After deciding to dialogue with liberals instead of trolling them, I was beginning to understand why they believed in the things they did. I wasn’t a liberal yet & I still was a MAGA Trump supporter but I realized they have rights too.

This is why I give Sarah so much credit because she didn’t try to convince me to stop supporting Trump or leave the Republican Party, she accepted who I was & appreciated me for having a respectful discourse. & I wanted to learn more.
