Between age 24-30 ... there are some serious calculations you have to put in place if you want your 30-40 to feel good.

Ideally when you’re Done with your service at age 24 itd have been nice to get into a new job or get retained. And start with about 1000$ a month. But here you’ll get roughly 3K if you’re lucky..

Now let’s assume you’re so lucky to get a job that keeps you occupied 6am - 6pm. Cos you’ll commute to work no? Defo a 6-6 .. with your 5K monthly. You rack up 60K ghc a year. That’s if u don’t eat, pay bills or touch it at all..

You want to buy/build a house, get a nice car.. travel and probably get married.

Averaging 60K Ghc a year means you can’t do all the top listed by age 30. You’ll need roughly 5 years of working.
300,000ghc in 5 years.

You can build a very simple place with 150-200K ghc. Buy a simple second hand Corolla for 50Kghc and get a simple wedding for 50Kghc. That 300K is finished. And you are back to being broke. Imagine this as the ideal situation and u getting what u planned for

Now, picture the real situation on ground. And compare this to the supposed “ideal situation” ... consider the unlucky people. Consider the years of unemployment and the high possibility of not getting 5K for a start. Where does that leave you?

Consider that with an average of let’s say 2500ghc a month, you get to subtract transportation, feeding, bills, and possibly some responsibilities family throw at you. Let’s say you get to save 1K ghc monthly... now do the maths..

This country and economy isn’t rewarding anyone who works legit, doesn’t even matter if you work hard. You’ve got to be smart and less relaxed. It’s really scary out here. And some people have no choice.

Somehow I feel this system is meant to break you. Let you live just comfortable till around age 50 where your investments might turn in good returns. To be young and rich is an extreme sport

I think we can make that dream of being rich happen. Except that if we follow the systematic way, we can only attain such level of financial freedom only when we’re old. Most people want to be young and rich, old and wealthy.

We have such little time to achieve so much just to hit our ideal goals and dreams. It’s crazy. It really is.

There are people who will be lucky enough to not fall within this range because their basic is good enough to get them started well within 2 years max. But how many of them?

The probablility of ending up rich starting from nothing is very unlikely if you want to stick to the average 2500-5000ghc income from a good job. (I know there are better pays out there, but it isn’t the usual and average)
