Theories and Conspiracies in Red Velvet Music Videos: A thread

1. Let's start off with my theory as a whole. I watched all Red Velvet's music videos to see if my theory is applicable. So here is what I found out.

Red Velvet is a cult. Where the leader is manipulating the other members and where the members are blindly following the leader.

2. Who is the leader?

Irene is manipulating the other girls. She is the mastermind of all of this. She is also the king if we were to reference it on chess.

I will explain later how she recruited the members to her cult and what happened next to them.

3.1. Then of course, the members or the followers. The remaining girls are not just followers, they similar in a way but not really. So here are my distinctions.

First is Joy. Joy is the most powerful among the members beside Irene. She also follows her but she is given a...

3.2. special treatment. Treating her like a Queen. But in reality she is just manipulated even more by Irene to do such things for her.

Also she is the right hand of Irene.

4.1. Then, Yeri. Yeri is actually the last member to be recruited by Irene, which I will explain later on this thread.

She is a rook in terms of chess pieces. A rook is actually a tower, a fortification used by castles to raise their defense against their enemies. And in the...

4.2. group, Yeri seems to be following Irene all the time. Making her the most blind follower of Irene.

So what is the connection of a rook to Yeri? Irene can still continue manipulating the girls because she knew her tower defense (Yeri) against the member that will resist..

4.3. to her later is not that powerful enough to overturn her. Yeri's appointed job by Irene is to keep the manipulated group's united for Irene to easily control them.

5.1. Next is Seulgi. Seulgi plays a really big role here. She is the member with the greatest character development. At first, she is just a pawn. Just a follower, the lowest member of the followers.

Not until she find out something about Irene and the other girls.

5.2. She find out about the manipulation and all by Irene to her and the other girls. And try to break free from her pawn self and became the knight to save her other members. Eventually she exposes Irene but Irene retaliates and killed her.

5.3. That is the reason why she doesn't hold any lamp here in her teaser photo. It is because she is dead. Killed by Irene by resisting her, shown by the umbrella. Meaning resistance.

I will point out how Seulgi fights Irene later in this thread.

6.1. Lastly, Wendy. Wendy is also like Seulgi. However at the time of Seulgi's death in Umpah Umpah, she is just starting to resist. Continuing the fight left by Seulgi by dying, the next knight.

But originally, Wendy is the bishop. One closest to the king.

6.2. Because she is close to Irene (king), her doubts in the earlier MVs are not that explicit unlike Seulgi. She is just observing the people around her, thinking very hard on what she will do or move she will be doing.

Then even before she start to fight Irene, Irene...

6.3. already knew something is up. So before even Wendy starts to fight her. She already locked her eyes on her

As you can see here in her teaser photos, she is also holding an umbrella like seulgi, meaning resistance. And removes her veil, meaning she doesn't want to obey...

6.4. Irene anymore. The reason why her photo here is like this is because she is the next one to d*e. With the crows in her teaser video, she is definitely next to Seulgi.

7.2. is standing behind that big pink pyramid. So if the pyramids built by the Egyptian symbolizes power, it means that Irene has a power.

8.1. And then you see her holding this telescope. Searching for someone to join her cult. And guess who she is looking at?

8.2. That's right, it is Joy. Her Queen. Her right hand. She is the first one to join the cult. That is also why she is given a special treatment because she is the first one to follow her.

9. Then she again tries to find other followers by using a binocular.

10. Where she finds out Seulgi and Wendy.

And look there are two knight pieces, meaning they are the destined knights.

11. However, this is scene is almost a premonition on what will happen to Seulgi in the future.

Lying in the ground, with flowers all over the place. Indicating she will d*e.

12.1. Okay so that's why I found in the Happiness MV. Let's go on the next MV, which is the Ice Cream Cake, March 15, 2015.

The first thing I noticed is this scene, where Joy is singing beside a huge cat. As you can see in her hairstyle, she really proven she is the queen...

12.2. Also you can see her holding a lollipop which you can also see in the MV of Zimzalabim where they uses the lollipop as a metaphor in hynoptizing people. And here? as early as 2015? Joy already shows that she is willing to manipulate people alongside the king which is Irene.

13.1. Next, I noticed how these three members are sipping coffee float or something. This can be symbolizes their obedience and absorption of principles from Irene. But you can see that Yeri is holding an ice cream cone not a coffee float. Meaning Irene is still...

13.2. trying to recruit Yeri to her cult.

In which in the last scene of the MV, you can see Yeri inside a cart, looking like a product from a grocery store that is being purchased. Yeri is officially part of the cult.

14. I' am watching these videos at 3am in the morning in a .5x speed when I saw many creepy shots of Irene in their videos (Really I' am scared ).

Looking like she is always wary, serious and creepy! preferably guarding her followers and checking their moves.

15.1. Next is the Dumb Dumb released in September 8, 2015.

I noticed this scene in the very beginning of the MV. A chess board. But the weird thing here is that, the Rook is moving out of its place.

Earlier, I discussed that Yeri is the Rook, right? I found something...

15.2. in the latter part of the MV. Here you can see Yeri, warily looking around.

My theory is that, Irene gives her orders to Yeri (Rook) that is why in the beginning the Rook is moving. Meaning she is doing something.

15.3. Look at this scene, where there are 3 Yeris hammering the box where another Yeri is residing.

In my theory, this represents her job as a rook, to unite the cult. She represents every member except Irene. That whatever will happen, she will keep them from escaping...

15.4. from Irene's control. Hence, even herself.

Next is Joy. The queen. She is appointed by Irene to guard Yeri if she is doing her job.

Then to the next scene, you can see that Yeri is hiding inside the box while Joy is handling the controls. But why not Irene?

15.5. First, where Yeri is hiding. It might be she is afraid of Joy. Afraid that she might report something bad about her to Irene or also she is caught by Joy not doing her job well that's why she is hiding herself inside the box and Joy do her work.

15.6. Second, why Joy is handling the controls while Irene is seen in the conveyer?

My theory is that the girls are not aware about the manipulation and such. And Irene is trying her best to blend in the group. And just making the other members to do the work.

That's how a...

15.7. king work and move, right? Gving orders to other people.

Next, is this scene. In the very beginning of the video you can see this.

What's with a cynical face of Irene here? Looks like she is plotting something.

Or she is looking in a door viewer peephole.

15.8. Whatever the reason is, We all know that Irene is the mastermind. Guarding her followers in silence and also in a secret way.

16.1. Next is the color pink. Pink is the official color of Irene, right?

And you can see pink in every MV Red Velvet have. Meaning that her presence is everywhere. Even though you cannot see her physically, but her aura and controls are there. Lurking the girls even though..

16.2. she's not with them. You can all notice that in their other MVs. Hence, I am concluding that pink is an ominous color. Representing Irene's control and Power.

If you remember earlier in this thread, the pyramid in the Happiness MV is in color pink. Irene's Power = Pink.

17.1. Also here as you can see, why the color of the egg is Pink? and not the other colors of the members? And if you will think, they can also put 5 eggs with different color but still they chose to show this egg.

Anyway, this scene right here really shows how Irene's power...

17.2. is overpowering, hence breaking its shell, which represents her control to her power.

It is becoming more powerful to eventually break its container. That is why pink is seen all over the place. Her controls is everywhere. Because it became powerful.

18. Next is the Russian Roulette MV, released in September 6, 2016.

Remember in the Dumb Dumb MV where she is watching Yeri behind those louvre curtains? That scene is similar to this scene here, where she monitors the members which was ordered by Irene.

19. The next scene I noticed was this. Where Yeri throws a ball to Irene.

My metaphor here is that, the ball is yellow because it represents Seulgi's idea and doubts about Irene. And Yeri throwing it to her is like Seulgi trying to break Irene's tower defense which is Yeri.

20. Of course, Irene is not happy with that. After that scene with Yeri throwing Irena a ball, you can see this scene where someone is covering Yeri's ears.

Guess who's trying to save her tower (rook) defense?

21. That's right, it's Irene. We can also see similar scene in the Bad Boy MV.

She is saving her Rook against the Knight which is Seulgi. Because Seulgi already starting to doubt Irene. And she's trying to start resisting, little by little.

22. And because Irene is starting to worry, she immediately reach out to her Queen which is Joy. and they start to plot something against Seulgi.

23. However, Seulgi is also ploting and doing something against Joy, which is close to Irene. As you can see in this scene. She wants to break the 'Irene and Joy partnership' before dealing with Irene.

24.1. Then if you will remember the MV, there is this cat and mouse cartoon in the middle of the clips. This scene is from the clip where the 4 of them except Seulgi pushes the locker so that Seulgi from the other side will be squashed by the locker.

But what I learned here is..

24.2. that Seulgi is represented by a cat.

And we all know that Seulgi is the only member starting to doubt Irene and resisting her manipulation..

I am sure you guys are aware of this saying;

"Curiosity kills the cat."

That saying says it all.

25. So let me prove it here, you see Joy and Irene plotting against Seulgi. The yarn they are holding forms a rectangle in the end of this clip.

Then guess what happens to the cat at the very end of the MV?

26. That cat is squashed in a rectangle form.

Also for me, my theory is that the rectangle symbolizes the coffin where people put the dead.

So again, Seulgi's life is in danger. And the premonition from the Happiness MV is now starting.

27. I would also like to share what I found. In this scene, we can see that Irene and Joy have the same chokers. But none of the other members have it.

The partnership of the king and queen is strong in this one.

28. Move on to the next MV, Rookie which was released January 31, 2017.

In the first seconds, we can see Irene. The king.

29.1. Then we have this scene where Joy is handling a "pink" smoke. And we already thought earlier that pink symbolizes Irene's power. So why does she have it?

The reason is that Irene make it look like she is the one giving this to the girls. As how a king shove his work..

29.2. to other people. She will just blend with the other girls as shown in this scene. She smells that pink smoke with Yeri. But it will not affect her. It is just for the show.

30.1. Look at their faces. Plotting something aye? They are helping one another to manipulate the other members.

Joy is the one making them smell the pink smoke, so in the first image.. we can see that she is totally plotting something.

But Irene?...

30.2. She smells that pink smoke. But look at her face, clearly she is plotting something.

This is where I proved that she is not affected by the pink smoke she smelled earlier.

31. Here in this scene, the flower monster is riding a "pink" spaceship while chasing the girls.

And again pink is Irene's power. Means that the monster is controlled by Irene.

32. Then look who is controlling the monster? Irene! Proving my last statement in 31.

33. And while Irene is controlling the monster, you can see here that Joy is clapping for the monster.

Really a partnership by Joy and Irene.

They plotted this together. But Joy is the only one explicitly telling us she is the one planned it and Irene is just a victim.

34. Remember the cat in the Russian Roulette where I am telling that the cat is Seulgi?

Look at her sweater, there is a cat right? She is still trying to find out what is Irene real motive. But be careful, Seulgi.. again "Curiosity kills the CAT".

35. Next is the MV of Red Flavor released in July 8, 2017.

I would like to point out that Irene is the watermelon. Please remember that.

36.1. I found few evidences here in the Red Flavor. Is it because Red Flavor is such a bop and my mind is losing focus haha

Anyway, there is this scene where someone is connecting the dots and formed a pineapple. I'm guessing that it is Irene that is drawing it because..

36.2. Irene is the only member with a black colored hair in this comeback. Then look at the strands in the corner of that scene. It matches right?

Why would Irene draw a pineapple if her fruit is a watermelon?

36.3. Then looks who represents pineapple in their group?

Seulgi right?

36.4. Maybe some of you will tell that it is Seulgi drawing her fruit. But no, there is also an evidence that Joy is with her or Irene is working in Joy's place because of those green pencils which belongs to Joy. The one drawing is Irene with that black hair and Joy with her...

36.5. green pencils as shown in this scene.

They are really plotting something against Seulgi.

37. Then the Peek-a-Boo MV. It was released in November 17, 2017.

You can see here the Rook in action. Yeri is holding a crossbow. Like how people in the medieval times protect their castle. By using arrows from their towers.

Meaning Yeri is back on being Irene's defense.

38. And because of that, no one believes at Seulgi anymore. Look at their faces it almost like saying "They don't care." or "We don't believe you."

39. Next, you can see here that Irene is leaning closer to Seulgi. She also threaten her face to face in the second photo.

40.1. Now, let's talk about that huge full moon.

You can see in the second photo where Irene is standing in front of the painting with a full moon. It means that her power and control among the girls is in peak.

40.2. She just face Seulgi face in face and she thinks that Seulgi is again under her power because she is much powerful than her. As what is describe by the full moon. The peak of Irene's power.

41. Why does Irene always have this look in her face-- Looking so wary-- and also exuding this aura "I am powerful than you" or "I see you."

42.1. Why does the queen in the middle of the ritual?

My theory is that Irene wanted to pass some of her power to her queen which is Joy.

42.2. In the first photo the moon is partly illuminated which means expansion of the progress. Expansion of Irene's power.

Then you can see that Joy is closer to the moon as she jumps. Meaning Irene is expanding her power to her.

43. Then let's move on to the Bad Boy MV which was released in January 29, 2018.

So Bad Boy MV is all about how Seulgi fought Irene. She was triggered back in the Peek-A-Boo MV where Irene expanded her power to Joy. So the Knight is ready to move now.

44. Let's start with this scene. There are four girls on the bed. Wendy, Seulgi, Irene and Yeri.

Where's Joy?

My theory is that, Joy currently busy handling her powers. And maybe Irene keeps Joy from the other members most especially in Seulgi's sight.

45. While Joy is away, Seulgi is leaning closer to Irene. Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

And you can see Joy, not happy with what is happening.

46. Then this book. You can see that Yeri, Wendy and Joy is reading the book earnestly while Seulgi and Irene don't look at the book.

Irene doesn't need to read it because she is the one feeding it to the girls while Seulgi is resisting Irene by not reading the book.

47. Actually Seulgi tries to read it at first but later she drops the book, meaning she does resist absorbing Irene's philosophy and control.

48. Then LOOK AT THIS! OH MY IRENE.

She knew that Seulgi again resisted her control. That is why she is thinking she has to do something against Seulgi.

49. First, to protect again her Rook which is Yeri against Seulgi. Then Yeri knows what is happening that she needs to keep Seulgi within Irene's control that is why she decided to negotiate with Seulgi.

50.1. But Yeri failed. Seulgi is just unstoppable in this rate. She boldly exposes the girls. As you can you see inside that glass box. There are only four mannequins and their mastermind doesn't have a head.

Also the lights, there is green, pink and violet illuminating..

50.2. the scene. But why there is no color blue in that scene? It is because Seulgi knew that Wendy is just observing in silence and she is an ally of her.

So she calls her out and that is why only blue is illuminated in this scene.

51. What did Wendy learned about the cult?

In the first photo, she is reading with them but then this scene happened. looks like she is just faking reading the book. Because she also knew something about Irene's controlling them. But keep it to herself.

52. She knew something and this is the proof. Then after knowing it she decided to burn it in flames to avoid being caught by Irene.

But! she didn't completely destroy the evidence.

53. She hid the photos in the book and hide the book after. I don't recognize to whom Wendy offers her discovery. But I'm sure that it is given to Seulgi in secret. or maybe it is seen by Seulgi in the very beginning that is why she stopped reading the book.

54. Knowing something is up, Irene consulted to her Queen, Joy. Looks like they will plot something again.

55. And you see Seulgi successfully breaks their calm demeanor by celebrating with a glass of champagne.

Maybe Seulgi also thought that it is a time to celebrate because she already knew Wendy is on her side.

56.1. In August 6, 2018, they released the Power Up MV.

Why does there is a photo of watermelon here in the set? Remember that Irene's fruit is a watermelon. So what does this picture means?

My theory is that it means that they are still controlled by Irene..

57.2. and it looks like a photo inside an office where your boss or the picture of your principal is there inside the room. Meaning they have the power to put that in their room.

Irene is the leader of the cult that is why putting a picture frame with a watermelon means power.

58. Then this scene. Look who were running ahead than the others. Irene and Joy. You know there is something fishy going to happen. Then the color in the very middle of the screen is Seulgi's color. Indicating she is the prey. And the predators are coming to get her.

59. I also noticed the color of her iron in this scene. It is color "pink" maybe that is why the objects near her is melting. She's using her powers.

60. Then this scene where she places her members inside the tv aka blender and then looking surprised when she was caught drinking it.

My theory is that most of the background here is blue. Wendy is the one caught her in her future plans. That is why she is surprised.

61. Let's move on to the next video, Really Bad Boy was released in November 30, 2018.

Before I thought about this theory, I am upset to know that Joy counted "1,2,5" and skipped the 3 and 4. But now it makes sense because she knew that 2 out them (5 in total) were resisting.

62. And you can see the background is color pink. Irene's power is still controlling them.

63. And those two is already separated from the rest. As you can see here in this scene.

64. Seulgi again is boldly fighting Irene, explicitly shutting off Irene away from her and as you can see in the second picture, Irene is scaring Seulgi, the Cat. The curious one in the group.

*whispers* Curiosity kills the Cat--

65.1. While Seulgi is busy fighting Irene. Wendy on the other hand also moves by first, not letting Irene handle the steering wheel. Meaning she doesn't want to give the controls to her.

Actually this is the first time that Irene not handling the steering wheel.

65.2. Then second, she is exposing the truth to others (metaphor for the light from the flashlight) but Yeri don't want to be enlightened.

66. I also noticed this scene, because everyone screams or seems to be scared of the werewolf but not Irene. Because she is the one controlling the werewolf. So there is no reason to be afraid of that creature if she is the one manipulating it.

67. And for this scene. I think that it showing how Seulgi is trying to mock the werewolf by imitating its claw. Showing also how brave she is to do that.

68. Next is the MV of Zimzalabim which was released in June 19, 2019.

I only saw few evidences here- but what is that? is that a werewolf?

69. There is premonition on how Seulgi will d*e.

It says "MARINE"

When you heard about the word marine, the very first thing you will think is WATER.

She will d*e drowning.

70. The color pink is out, the face of the mastermind is in.

Look how Irene looks at the camera. Exuding a look of "Follow me". Irene's power were changed from just pink to her full face.

(I'll follow you, Irene-- just kidding)

71. And for this photo. Its easy to see.

The two aware of Irene's controlling them are not facing away the camera. Wendy and Seulgi looks at the camera the same way as Irene. Even though they have this 3D glasses, they are aware.

They know what is Irene doing.

72. The very last MV before the release of Psycho, Umpah Umpah was released in August 19, 2019.

This is where I believe Seulgi have d*ied and the reason of her death is drowning. Let's see what happened.

73.1. Let's start off with this scene. Irene is back again. Handling the steering wheel. And you can see in the back that Joy is seating in the middle while in the RBB MV, Wendy is the one driving while Seulgi is in the middle.

It shows that the king...

73.2. and her queen managed to get back on the top. They have their full potential in their powers against the rebels. And you can see how bright the full moon is.

74. They managed to send off Seulgi to the roof to fix the antenna. And you can see here that Irene is the last one to get near that window. Then a few moments it is closed. Which means she closed it.

75. Then my theory is that it is a metaphor on how Irene neglected Seulgi when she was drowning. Seen in the pictures. She is just staring at the water blankly. Not even horrified of what she done.

76. Look at Wendy. The other rebel in the group. She knows something happened to Seulgi but she can't help her explicitly. Because the moment that she will be caught face to face by Irene, she will be the next one to d*e.

77. Then for the last clip in the MV. Wendy closes the door even the weather is good. And the weird part is, she is smiling. What is the reason behind that action? and that smile?

78. My theory is that the good weather means a favorable situation for Irene and Joy. And the closing of the door by Wendy is a gesture saying she will not let the two succeed in their plans. She is smiling to keep up with her surroundings.

79. Little thing she knows, Irene is already wary of her. And that is why this happened in Wendy's teaser photos for Psycho.

Holding a lamp means she is alive, having warmth is a characteristic of being alive. But the color is not that bright because...

80. the warmth she has might not last. Meaning she will be the next to d*e.

81. As for Yeri. She is seen holding the KING chess piece. And knocking off a pawn.

My theory here is, she is retelling how Irene k*lled the pawn. She knew that Seulgi is just a pawn. Not knowingly she became a knight.

82. Irene here is sitting boringly near the lake or that body of water, where she may have k*lled Seulgi. Then she gets a fishing rod and caught a clock.

My theory is that Irene, really don't care or bother on what happened to Seulgi.

83. However, she didn't know that somewhere deep inside her, she is guilty of what happened to Seulgi.

The fishing rod symbolizes something about her subconsciousness and the clock symbolizes that overwhelming guilt she feels for Seulgi.

84. As for Seulgi, she is seen with these sculptures. And curtsying in front of the sculptures. What is the meaning behind this?

My theory is that these sculpture means freedom. Just like how the Statue of Liberty represents. Seulgi is now free from Irene's control.

85.1. While the curtsy can mean gratitude to Irene because she finished her fight to her. And it also seen in this picture how tired she is from resisting.

Going against such a powerful person such as Irene is hard for her because in the beginning she is just a pawn.

85.2. And the pawn is the weakest of them all.

And trying to be knight eats too much effort and energy from her. Unlike Wendy which is a bishop in the beginning have already a high rank.

86. Again, Wendy will try to resist of course. She will try to fight Irene herself. But we are not sure if she will succeed because there are 2 meanings of a crow.

First, is about bad luck and death and the other one means intelligence and flexibility.

87. How ironic.

The first photo is Joy running away from something. Then the other photo you can she is relaxing on her seat. Could that be mean she is the Psycho?

88. Okay, so let's continue.

My theory for Joy is that she is running away from Irene. Because she learned that Irene felt guilty of what she have done to Seulgi. Hence thinking she may also feel the same guilt, she starts to run to avoid it.

89.1. However at the end, she realizes that she don't need to be afraid of being guilty because she did not k*lled Seulgi hence seeing this scene where she looked back from where she is running away from.

And having that kind of thinking came from...

89.2. this. Joy have a third eye in this photo. What does it means?

My theory is that she became conscious and enlightened but in a wrong way.

She thinks highly of herself after she realizes she is not guilty. She thinks that Irene became weaker than her.

Which leads to...

89.3. this photo.

Joy is relaxing on her seat. Seating so laid-back. What does it means?

My theory is that Joy now thinks that whatever happens, even someone d*ed and will d*e.. she doesn't care. She thinks it is not connected to her. Nothing will ever worry her.

90. That leads to my theory;

Joy is really the Psycho.

She shows some of this common traits of a Psychopath. Based from what I explained earlier, you can identify it yourself that she is the Psycho.

91. Another theory...Irene is hiding Seulgi's tombstone. Because of guilt, that is why she is hiding what she have done-

Then look at Yeri, guarding the tombstone. Then Wendy wears a black dress to mourn for Seulgi.

92. For those who are asking about this-

My theory that is a tree trunk. The shadows of the leaves makes the shape look like a figure of a lady in white.

Because none of the girls with dark colored hair matches the length of the supposedly hair of the figure.

93. The psycho is the one not looking up the sky.

94.1. Let me discuss my theories about this photo.

First, look at Yeri. If you remember, she is the Rook. She is guarding the door because she is the defender. You can see her closing the door because it's open and open doors are a risk right?

Just how Anna- (other story )

94.2. Second, look at Seulgi. She is riding a teacup with Wendy. However take a look at her surroundings. A large spill of tea or something is behind her. Maybe it is retelling how she d*ed drowning.

And that miniature house with an umbrella? is it a coincidence she is beside..

94.3. that? Because that was the place where she is last seen. Is her soul is looking at that place? Searching for justice? or her soul is just locked to that place and can't seem to move on?

94.4. Next, look at Irene. She is holding a clock. Which means she is still holding the feeling of being guilty. And the key behind her could be the key to that door in the second photo. Where she locked Seulgi out the roof.

94.5. Next is Wendy. She is looking at someone or something maybe the big robot or she is just wary about her surroundings because she knew that Irene and Joy are plotting something against her.

94.6. Lastly, look at Joy.

She is the one setting up the dynamite- and they she sets if to explode near Wendy which is their enemy.

And then you can see Joy looking at someone.. and that someone is Irene. Maybe she is starting to think that her leader is not capable enough..

94.7. to lead them. The psycho in her is showing. Look at that gaze.

95. In connections to theory #91, The reason why Yeri is also hiding the tombstone is it because she knew Irene's plan all along.

As explained in this photo.

96. The only members that wears white are the most powerful members in the cult.

While the two rebels are the only members with both earrings and a necklace.

97. The following theories (#97 and above), will be my theories on what may happen on the #FinaleWithPsycho MV.

First, the clash between Wendy and Irene. So here, as what I theorized Wendy will avenge Seulgi's d*ath. And how she will do that? of course by fighting Irene.

98.1. Second, In the #FinaleWithPsycho teaser, we see Yeri jumping on the bed. Then the next scene is she is looking at a doorway.

My theory is that, maybe we can see her in the Psycho MV being happy after what happened to Seulgi. She is happy because she is in Irene's side and

98.2. she helped her in dealing with a rebel.

Then someone is luring her to side with. Maybe it is Wendy to get her to her side. But I think it is Joy who is luring her to go to that doorway.

That is the reason why Joy is looking at Yeri at the second photo.

98.3. And I think that is why Irene is seen here, she is trying to stop Joy to get the control from Yeri.

99. Wendy on the other hand is seen with an eye on the wallpaper behind her. Looks like she will be more aware of more things other than what is Irene doing to them.

Maybe she also knew about how Joy becoming a Psycho.

100.1. You can see here that Joy is sitting alone in the car, driving.

From the early MVs of them, they are always together inside the car and it is Irene who is always driving. But once it is Wendy, now it is Joy alone. So what is happening here?

100.2. In theory #65.1, I discussed how it is the symbolism of who is control in the whole group.

Then it means that Joy get the control already from Irene. But where are the members?

100.3. In this scene, you can see Joy is sitting in front of a mechanism. Like a huge typewriter. Is she is trying to compose a plan on how to k*ll all of them?

Is that the reason why Joy is seen driving alone in the car?

100.4. Then look here. We can see three empty seats. And Joy is on her way to get inside the car.

My theory is that she will k*ll the three remaining members; Irene, Yeri and Wendy. Only three seats for three members because Seulgi is already d*ad.

So what is the reason?

100.5. As @prikiieunsang said, the background is in reverse. So what does it means?

Means she did something wrong which is to k*ll the other girls in the group.

My theory is that Joy is hoping to be the greatest in the cult but they are not focusing on her. Because Wendy..

100.6. is fighting Irene. Irene of course fighting with Wendy. Then Yeri is so loyal to Irene.

That is why she snapped. She developed her psycho trait by plotting against the girls with Irene and when she was given powers by Irene. The power also consumed her like Irene.

100.7. Instead of using that power to just continue on manipulating the members of the cult. She uses it to do something else.

So from theory #3.2, she really became the most powerful member among them.

101. Let's start my theories in the Psycho MV released today in December 23, 2019.

Most of my theories from theory #97 to #100.7 are seen in the MV. But I would like to correct that this is indeed Seulgi~

Anyway, let's start.

102. Let's start with this scene. In the beginning of the MV, we see Irene is the one driving. Means she is the one controlling what is happening around.

Not until Seulgi's soul is back to help the other members against her and Joy.

103. Seulgi's soul is in front of a mechanism then looks at Wendy.

My theory is, that mechanism is her way to be back on the Earth from the realm of the spirits.

Maybe it is like an ouija board that you can talk to spirits. She is back to help Wendy on how to fight Irene.

104. Wendy communicated to Seulgi. They talk about their plans how to overturn Irene. However, it did not succeeded because Joy interfered.

105. Hence, you can see here that both of them is inside a train. After a few seconds, Wendy is gone and Joy came back inside the train.

My theory is that Joy k*lled Wendy. Just like her plan. Then next, is Yeri.

106. You can see that Yeri is seems to be jumping and you can see that there is an opening in the ceiling to the sky.

My theory is that she is trying to connect with Seulgi. But why would Yeri would like to talk to her if she knew she is also guilty at what happened to Seulgi?

107.1. There is this scene where Seulgi is in front of a mirror. And her reflection is moving opposite to her. Then look at her face in the 2nd photo, she looks like she is gonna cry any moment.

My theory is that there are 2 sides of Seulgi's feeling right now.

107.2. First, the feeling of vengeance. She would like to take revenge to Irene with the help of Wendy. Then Second, is that she also wanted to help all of them to be free with Irene's manipulation. But we know that Wendy already failed before they even start to fight.

107.3. That is why she is calling Yeri. To help her to be free. And as you can see here. Yeri is holding a rock with something around it. And throws it against the mirror. Where Seulgi is looking.

Look at the rock, it has a paper folded to white ribbon. Meaning peace. She..

107.4. wanted peace with Seulgi. Also it means that she accepted Seulgi's wish to help her free.

Yeri starts to communicate with Seulgi. Seulgi uses this opportunity to continue her plan that Wendy cannot even start.

107.5. However, again Joy interfered.

107.6. You know what happened next.

Yes, that's right. She k*lled Yeri.

108. Seulgi is now hopeless, look at her. She is crying. Because the possible members that can help her are now d*ad.

She cannot reach out to Joy because she knew that she is Irene's right hand.

109. Not until this scene happened. Joy is the one reaching out to Seulgi. But Seulgi doesn't know she is the one behind in all the k*llings. Because her assumption is that Irene k*lled Wendy and Yeri.

110. Seulgi shared her plans on how to overturn Irene. But my theory is that Joy didn't follow her plan and just followed her own plan.

111. Before tackling at what Joy did after that, let's talk about our king. Irene in the beginning is the one controlling still. However as the MV goes on, you see her sewing in the second photo and butterflies crosses her path. But what is the meaning of these?

112. My theory is that Irene is starting to change. No one knew that the guilt she felt in k*lling Seulgi will change her.

The sewing and butterflies means that Irene now is thinking about changing her life. She is now starting to realize that controlling the girls is wrong.

113. Then she prick her finger to the needle. What does it mean?

Remember in the sleeping beauty, Aurora is pricked with the needle. And eventually d*es because of the curse.

So it means death.

114. Then this scene, where she is running and look so scared.

So you know that eventually, Joy killed the king. Even Irene is surrounded with her powers (see the threads, it is colored pink) her will to k*ll or even fight is low, that is why she is k*lled by Joy in the end.

115. So in the end, Joy succeeded. Now, that is the reason why she is alone in the car. She k*lled her remaining members.

A psycho indeed.

116.1. Okay, so I'm back! Let's start unraveling the theories behind the Monster MV by #RedVelvet_IRENE_SEULGI released today, in July 7, 2020.

Let's begin with this scene. We can see that Seulgi is approaching Irene by CRAWLING. But why?

116.2. So we know, based from the Psycho MV, that Seulgi tries to help the other girls to fight Irene and also her right hand, Joy, however they all lose to Joy.

And upon knowing that Irene was also defeated by Joy, Seulgi continues to strengthened her plan against Irene.

116.3. And now she is approaching Irene by crawling.

And when I searched for the meaning of crawling in dreams, it means that Seulgi is approaching Irene with her prepared plan to fight her.

Also you can see the red lighting, which also means passion and revenge.

117.1. For Irene's case, you can see that she is sitting on the floor. Relaxed, resting and doesn't shows any fear while Seulgi is crawling towards her.

Meaning, she haven't started thinking of fighting anyone. Remember that in Psycho MV, she feels remorseful and thinks that

117.2. controlling the girls is not right. (try to go back at 112). So she just need to go back at her foundations. Try to meditate first before even planning.

But by going back to her basics, she needs her power back. Meaning not sharing it with anyone.

117.3. And you can see her needing her powers when the perspective was like this...

Someone is crawling towards her.

118.1. Next is this scene. Where you can see that Irene is cutting an illustration of a skull.

Okay so there are three key points here, the cutting of the paper, the illustration of the skull and the paper with the illustration.

118.2. First, the meaning of cutting the paper.

We know that Seulgi is prepared. So this cutting scene just foreshadowed that Seulgi will try to confront Irene in the future.

118.3. Second, the illustration of the Skull.

So Irene needs her power back, however look at the source of her powers, the skull is not in one piece.

Looks like she'll having a hard time before she possess her powers back just in time before Seulgi confronts her.

118.4. Lastly, the paper with illustrations. I'll get back to this third key point later.

Okay so next is this scene, for other it looks like they are just dancing. However, this is the fighting scene. Where Seulgi confronts/fights her.

118.5. But, look at Irene. You can see her hands like the stop sign.

Meaning, she tries to persuade her to not fight with her first. Because she's still not ready.

Her powers is not yet back and also she is planning something.

118.6. So let's go back to the third key point, the papers with illustration.

You can see here that both of them are disappointed. Just look at their facial expression. They are not amused with one another.

Seulgi, because Irene didn't fight her back.

Irene, because she has

118.7. to beg to Seulgi to stop fighting her because she's weak. And her plan is not yet starting.

so that's the three key points. Now let's move on the next part. About the shells.

119. Why after the fighting scene, they are seen together like this.

The shells reveals that they enjoyed each other's beliefs that they gone weaker than before.

Irene thinks that Seulgi is easy to sway from her principles. While, Seulgi thought that Irene lost her powers.

120. Next, is this scene. Where Seulgi is looking outside the window.

It represents that Seulgi is not easy to sway, unlike what Irene thought of her. She is still focused in her goal, to defeat Irene. To seek revenge.

121. Then you can see here that Irene is looking at Seulgi while she is sleeping.

Means that Seulgi is aware of Irene, however she is not aware of what is happening to her. That Irene is trying to get her powers back and is plotting something unlike what Seulgi thought of her.

122. Then later on, Irene finally get her powers back.

As you can see, the color pink symbolizes her powers way back from the very beginning of this thread.

And seeing her again, surrounded with pink, means she gets her power back.

123.1. Next, you see Seulgi here. Facing again a window. (A stain glass window in specific).

She's looking at the window. Meaning she's focused. Her principles in life, in how she acts and all, are seen in the colors of the glass. Yellow, Orange, Blue and Light Blue.

123.2. So all of these colors is Seulgi's core values in life. All in the good side.
