4th February: the date when first train will arrive at first train station of Rishikesh- Karnprayag route. Yes, @PiyushGoyal run Ministry is changing the way railway works- the date of first train journey is fixed and is non negotiable..... work is happening with date in mind

Stamp of @narendramodi is written all over his pet project-station is called YogNagri Railway station and a large statue of Lord Shiva in His Yog-mudra with Nandi Ji facing Him will be first thing one will see; station building has a shikhar resembling Sri Kedarnath Ji temple.

From YogNagri, train will travel to Karnprayag on a 125 km stretch-84% route will pass through tunnels- work on some of these tunnels has already started; construction of few station buildings has also commenced... new work culture of #NewIndia of @narendramodi is so refreshing

The longest tunnel of this route is 15 kilometers long and will be one that will help train come back to Tehri district from Pauri- yes at only one spot- near Devprayag- proposed train will cross over to other side of Ganga Ji and will come back to Tehri side near Lachmoli

The amazingly motivated team of RVNL working under the leadership of Himanshu Badoni is working efficiently and is hopeful of making first train run on this route by 2024. They are hopeful of opening the entire stretch by 2025.

Best part of the entire project is that centre govt and state govt are working in complete sync with each other- clearances are being accorded in record time. State CM @tsrawatbjp takes personal interest in ensuring that all d clearances are given speedily.

State machinery has been given instructions to cooperate wd RVNL & do everything possible to ensure work goes on smoothly at the site. Himanshu & team also seek help as n when needed. Best thing with Himanshu is that he is deeply spiritual person & aware of imp of task @ hand

Come 2025 and a train will definitely travel on this stretch and I have my pic clicked inside this first tunnel under construction-it is part of my memory and I will tweet it on the day when train passes via this tunnel for the first time- provided i am alive on that day!

Imagine a railway running next to a road as wide as this ..... will totally transform the hills of Uttarakhand - thanks entirely to the vision of one man @narendramodi and his team- both at centre and in d state- the missionary zeal is evident in d way work is happening!

They are cutting/ digging/ boring through such rocks to build these tunnels and total of 105 kms of such rock will have to be cut ..........
