Going back to this to explain it a little more. This is the point of the play when the read is made because the safety takes a step to his right and the Saints have nobody but a CB on one whole half of the field. #84 is the guy who runs down the seam. He hasn't crossed the LOS.
The safety taking a step forward and to the right means he's in position to cover the seam if Brissett looks at his TE. When Brissett makes the right read and looks to his right, the safety then begins to turn and run to that side. If he doesn't turn his eyes, safety is downhill.
Apple plays good coverage so Brissett has to throw a perfect ball. This is a really difficult throw.

So if you're criticizing a QB when he's making the right read and a great throw, what chance does that QB ever have of actually satisfying you?
