Wrong. After Yorknew we had Greed Island, Chimera Ant and Election arc. I’ll start with Greed Island.

Greed Island was a very very good arc. Not only did we see a lot of character development we also saw our main protagonist overcome obstacles and we got - https://twitter.com/OfCourseX/status/1206722620961513475

More lore and World Building in the HxH verse. We learned more about Ging , we had a new power system and we had amazing character development. Hisoka also played a huge part in that arc which was a really nice change up. The volleyball game was amazing as well.

Lets move on to Chimera ant. I honestly don’t know where to start. From themes , portrayal , character development , story telling , world building , fights , high stakes I mean this arc has it all and then some.

Meruem is a phenomenal character. His development was something.. outstanding. He went from someone who killed for feed , even his own mother , to someone who loved a human more than anything else and found the meaning of his life. Gon was a direct opposite to Meruem

While Meruem became more Human , Gon became more Monster like. Forsaking his life and everyone he knows and love for his own necessity. Netero portrayed the pinnacle of humanity during that arc and was a vital part in meruem’s development.

The Royal Guards were all beautifully written and had good development. Killua was amazing as well. Struggling with his inner conflicts while also trying , but failing , to be there or I should say to help Gon was amazing. Gon was always the one to bring Killua out of the-

Darkness but when Gon became darkness Killua failed to bring Gon back into the light. He failed to do what Gon did for him and in a way he felt responsible. Shoot and Knuckle’s dynamic was probably one of the best things in that arc. How far he would go for his friends -

even risking his life knowing he will 100% die is something that always gets me emotional. Gon and Palm’s dynamic was amazing. Killua and Ikalgo’s dynamic was...outstanding and Meruem and Komugi was beautiful. Everything in that arc was all connected.

I can go on and on but I think you get the point. Now , lets move on to the election arc.
Kil and Alluka’s dynamic was amazing. For the first time we saw Kil go to extreme lengths , even willing to fight his brother , to protect someone dear to him.

We had the Ging and Pariston complex , The election itself and Gon and Ging finally met. The arc may not be as grand and action packed as other arcs but it’s still a top 2 arc in HxH for me. The main reason being the outstanding presence Pariston brought to that arc.

For the Person I QRTd HxH , if anything , got more amazing after Yorknew City. Saying it went downhill is something myself and a lot of people will disagree with.
