So when I tweeted this tweet back in September. I had no idea what I was doing, I’d just moved to cpt and had a bucket list but I had no one except my brother to do things with so I shot my friendship shot.

We have two more get togthers coming up before everyone heads home but I really need to do this thread so you step into my shoes for a second.

Funny enough i’d tweeted a similar tweet before and met some amazing women back in August.

This was our first first get together, we sat and discussed a book and had pizza and wine.

The Next month we went to a wine farm

I remember during chats we realized how lonely cpt really is, mainly because people mind their own business here.

So on this wine farm day Is the day I shot my friendship shot to twitter.

And wow did my DMs not collapse!

I began by starting a WhatsApp group sending out WhatsApp links

And that’s how we began

We are obviously wayyyyyy bigger now. 3 WhatsApp groups later,almost 150 women.

I’ve met like 70% of them, I go to every meeting, every hike, every drinking session, I also read every book.

I was asked if I ever get tired?

These women are phenomenal, they’ve let strangers into their lives, our conversations are personal and raw. The chats are empowering
Have you ever laughed so hard your tummy hurts?

How can I get tired of that??

Everyone is at a different stage in their life so you literally LEARN FROM EVERYONE!

We celebrate each other to the mood and back!

-You get your license after failing 5x we are there!
-new jobs, interviews, recovering heartbreaks we are there.
-hospital visits, donating funds for underprivileged school kids. errryything

So yeh, when I say twitter brought amazing women into my heart, I don’t take this statement lightly.

Today some of us came together & discussed Kopano Matlwas book “Spilt milk.”

We may have not enjoyed the book, or the weather sucked, but thank God for wine & amazing food!!!! – bei The Lawns At The Roundhouse

Today I found myself extremely proud of these women! Today’s climb was personal, A tick to the beginning of an awesome healthier 2020

Today we made Vision boards for 2020. We will be back in July to see which of our goals we have met

33 women came together to discuss @SihleBolani_’s book about the struggles of black women in corporate!

Today we are having a facebeat mimosa brunch! We are learning how to do our brows, apply foundation and contour!

Today we had a session with an amazing financial advisor & couch on financial literacy
