it’s the late 1950s. only katsuki and eijirou know each other’s darkest secret: they’re both homosexual. they knew their fling would only last during the summer before heading for college...or not?

katsuki had no damn idea why his parents sent him to stay with his aunt and annoying little cousin over the summer but he was sure as hell gonna make the most of it.

especially with the fact it was his last summer before heading off to college.

how the hell was he even supposed to enjoy himself? this shabby town was about 2 hours away from any kind of city life.

on top of that, his boys weren’t here with him. he could be driving around blasting rock and roll or at the drive in stuffing his face.

what he didn’t know was that this would be one of the best summers of his life.

“I swear you’re gonna love this place!” katsuki’s cousin chirped. the rugged blonde could only roll his eyes in response as he scanned the neon signs outside the building.

“a dance club? you’re fucking joking, right?” katsuki raised an eyebrow with a scowl.

his cousin shook his head with a soft smile. “just cause you’re a big bad greaser doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time dancing.”

katsuki scoffed, crossing his arms. “yeah, says the prep and school president. is there good food at least?”

the boy’s hair bounced as he nodded. “always.”

katsuki truly had to muster up all the energy he had to take one step forward. a damn dance club? what was he actually supposed to do? dance?

he only came because his aunt forced him to anyway.

he sighed, knowing he had no other choice. his cousin would be mopey if he bailed and he did not want to deal with an earful from the boy’s mother.

“this better be fucking good, deku.”

deku skipped inside and he was already trying to jitterbug before they even got on the dance floor. “I love this song!”

katsuki had no intention of being seen with his cousin if he was being honest. “whatever. i’m going to the food table,” he said over the music.

with that, the two parted ways and deku wouldn’t see the greaser for the rest of the night.

katsuki grabbed a small paper bag from the table, going to fill it with fresh popcorn but much to his dismay, the guy in front of him snatched the last pieces.

the blonde groaned, balling his hand into a fist. “oi, shit hair-“

the guy turned and it was over for katsuki.

the guy’s eyes were wide and fucking sparkling. he could easily be mistaken for a girl if it hadn’t been for his strong build. katsuki had never seen such long hair on a guy.

he shook his head. dirty. those thoughts were disgusting he wasn’t supposed to think like that.

“yeah man?” the guy spoke up. he glanced at katsuki’s fist. “whoa- I don’t want any trouble I just-“

“tch. whatever. didn’t wanna be here anyway.” katsuki basically slammed the bag back on the table.

the guy had the nerve to laugh.

“what the fuck are you laughing at, riffraff?”

the guy shook his head. “just a little weird seeing a greaser here. where’s the rest of ya?”

katsuki did not want to admit he was here with his cousin. not to such a good looking guy.

no. stop. don’t think that

“what the fuck is it to you?” katsuki resorted to an ambiguous answer. and maybe this guy would leave so katsuki could pretend this never happened and he could ditch deku.

“I mean it’s not fun going to a dance club by yourself right?” the guy popped some popcorn in his mouth.

“and? I wouldn’t be caught dead hanging out with a prep or jock or whatever the fuck you are.” the blonde adjusting his leather jacket.

the guy flashed his letterman jacket. “jock I guess.” he smiled and katsuki felt sick. in a good or a bad way, he couldn’t tell.
