Ares & Hades, a matter of life & death.
(Scorpio : Mars or Pluto?)

to be honest since i started astrology up til now, Pluto being the ruler of Scorpio has always made sense to me, while Mars was pretty much irrelevant from my POV, & this logic has never led me astray (cont)
while using astrology to analyze things - but, the reason i am now writing is because while i was not wrong, acknowledging Mars could’ve allowed me to go deeper, but i see this as part of my learning journey, which i will explain more in detail in this case.
my perspective was that, although Mars had been the “traditional” ruler of Scorpio before Pluto was discovered by astronomers (& so used by astrologers) much more later, & with reason (gotta do with what we have on board as we say in French), it was only logical (cont)
to acknowledge Pluto after its discovery, because when you look at the mythology, the symbolism, everything clicks.
to me it was simply growth, or should i say, progress, a logical progress that certain people refused to embrace.
but, i have now reached a point where i understand, that refusing to acknowledge Mars AND Pluto as both legitimate rulers of Scorpio, is, overlooking the essence of the duality of Scorpionic energy.

warriors.. they are represented by Mars, & so Aries, but truth is,
Scorpios are warriors too.
they might even be the true warriors of the zodiac if we look at things closely.

a warrior is, an entity that is ready to fight, & put their life in the line if they have to, to support their cause.
warriors, what they fight for is literally a matter of life (Aries, Mars) & death (Pluto, Scorpio).
while Aries energetic imprint represents brute strength & motivation,
Scorpionic energy, that we see as refusal to let go in some cases, is in fact, if we translate this energy :
what we are ready to die for.
we all now that Scorpios have a hard time letting go of things, & that’s because it’s embedded in their Scorpionic imprint, not to let go.
like, have y’all ever thought that MAYBE letting go isnt what Scorpios are here for?
the question “what are you ready to die for”, means, “between xyz, & your life, what would you hold onto”.
& that’s what warriors do.
they hold onto their principles, their cause,
until the very end, even if they have to “die” for it.
they fight for it (Mars) & die for it (Pluto).. & this is the difference with Aries.
Aries will fight but won’t die for it.
Aries will fight with all their will for what they want until the things naturally dies like a vanishing flame, & things will naturally follow their course, they will move on, almost as if nothing happened.
Scorpios..
the death of the thing is the death of them.
but then again, & i say this often, Lavoisier said “nothing is created, nothing is lost, all is transformed”.
the death of what a Scorpio is fighting for is the death of the Scorpio that was fighting for the thing, but not the death of the entirety of the Scorpio.
nothing will be the same, & if Scorpios understand they didn’t lost anything in the process, they can heal from this death & move on.

to get back to what i was saying earlier, the fight or die mentality of Scorpio is perfectly in accordance with their “obsession habit”.
obsession is the act of besieging.
as a war strategy, besieging is, circling the GQ of the enemy & blocking them inside, refusing to move away no matter what until the enemy gives up fighting.
refusing to move away no matter what (through the act of besieging) means,
that only 2 things can make you move :
capitulation of the enemy, or, your own capitulation, which is equal to death.
obsession is holding onto the conflict (Mars) until death (Pluto) if resolution doesn’t happen before death.
that’s our problematic (which is, “between xyz & your life, what would you hold onto) being perfectly put in application.

analyzing the duality of Scorpionic energy in depth has therefore brought me to the conclusion that Scorpio is ruled by both Mars & Pluto,
traditional astrology was right & went with what they had on board at the time (Pluto was unknown to their observations of the sky so it only makes sense for them not to use Pluto if they didn’t see Pluto when observing the stars).
modern astrology has sort of dismissed the rulership of Mars but this wasn’t the thing to do because most things happens for a reason, & Scorpio being ruled by Mars only before further notice is one of those things that was meant to happen because it actual makes sense.
i see this as a good example of how tradition (Mars) & modernity (Pluto) can work hand in hand together & bring us deeper insights & further understanding.

an important thing to note about Scorpios :

acknowledging that Scorpios aren’t here to let go is a thing,
but, as always, balance is key, & while their power of “obsession” is a catalyst for transformation & so for growth (which anchors itself in Sag in the zodiac -Sag = expansion so growth), no growth can take place when everything is just destruction.
Scorpios have to find the right middle, not everything is worth “dying” (or transforming we could say) for.
PICK your battles, or should i say, pick your “poison”.
go for transmutation not for entire destruction.
Scorpios often struggle with that & this is why they are said to be so destructive, meanwhile once managed properly, their power of regeneration is unmatched.
