Its that time of the year for college baseball players who got cut, are unhappy w redshirting, or just not in a happy situation with where they are. So i’ll throw in my input since being through it..(1/6)
Take some time to reflect if you really want to play this game. It’s hard. Really hard. It takes a lot of time and commitment & it only gets more challenging as time goes on. If you REALLY want to get better, bet on yourself. (2/6)
Don’t be afraid to do sometbing unusual. Ask yourself if you really want to sit the bench these next 6 months & not get any better or stick to your colleges “developmental” program. If you really want to be really good at this game, then you’ll sacrifice everything. (3/6)
Grow some balls and do it. Stop talking about how you want to do this or that or if maybe I could just figure this out then I would be good. I have people tell me all the time how they wish they could train at @drivelinebases & I always just ask them “what’s stopping you?” (4/6)
Do it. There should be no excuses. Money? I worked 40hours a week making burritos and didn’t compromise any training time to pay for rent, training fees, and food. School? You can take online classes to maintain eligibility. (5/6)
The environment & knowledge learned is one of the most valuable takeaways a young baseball player can get. You grow so much as a person & you really get to know yourself by being in that environment. At the end of the day, you either want it or you don’t. Bet on yourself. (6/6)
