I've read this book 4 times already but a friend of mine is currently reading the series for the first time and it's made me miss the characters. So, i felt it was time for another reread!

Aelin is in such a dark state of mind in this one. She doesn't care if she dies. it breaks my heart every time to see her like this

Celeana confronts her past, her trauma. And she reaches out for herself. She FINALLY becomes Aelin, who she was always meant to be.

She's embracing the fire, embracing her legacy AND SHE IS MOTHER FUCKING RISING

if rereading this book has shown me anything it's that THIS is how the dyad between ben and rey should've been.

THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE A BOND BETWEEN SOULMATES.

If a dyad makes people stronger, why was THIS not how palpatine met his end? Smh.

nobody tell 2019 I didn't finish this book in time. Also, nobody tell goodreads! Don't be a snitch, let's pretend it's still 2019 while I finish reading these 3 chapters I got left.

4th time reading this book, and it literally never gets old. Somehow, every reread brings something new to love. These characters mean so much to me, it's comforting being around them.

I'm excited to reread QoS at some point soon!
